A lot of the NFL fans in New England pre- 1960 ( Boston Patriots) or 1970 ( NE Pats) were/are NY Giants fans, closest team to them.
And it's possible my dad fell into one of those categories, he never talked about it. I didn't know he was actually a Pats fan until 4 or 6 years later.

It’s a rotten football town. The current Pats are like the third iteration of that franchise having folded numerous times because nobody gave a fuck. Pats Nation is a recent phenomenon that’s why it’s hard to actually talk the game with most Pats fans from that area. They just figured out what football was all about when Captain Massagey Rub N Tug bought them.

Talk to me when Eagles Fans figure out Horseshit is not supposed to be served as a meal.

Entertainment.

Not good entertainment but still entertainment.

I guess you could call it Almost Entertainment.

It's entertaining. Not on the same level as centers but still entertaining. Personally, who you root for is who you root for and it really shouldn't bother anybody.

The only time I question who one roots for is if the have 2 favorite teams, especially when both are in the same division. A friend of mine was a Seahawks and Raiders fan when they were both AFCW. Imagine someone being a fan of both Seahawks and 49ers.

That's interesting. I never knew anybody being a fan of two rival teams. Well I guess G&G would count as 1.

I just know the one guy. To be fair he's from the Seattle Area and at the time he really wasn't all that hard core. In time he pulled away from being a Raiders fan and is now fully behind Seattle. I need to ask him if his Raiders love will be back now that they are in Las Vegas.

They'll be playing in a stadium that looks like a UFO but the inside probably looks pretty cool.

huh...?

i'm a Chiefs fan because that's where my mom's side of the family originates from, and the Lakers i've followed since '70...

didn't have any titles outside of Minneapolis at that time...

some fans(mostly bandwagoners) DO follow teams because they win admittedly, but that don't cover everyone...

I agree and it's not like you picked the Chiefs because they won and won. This year was different but you're not claiming to be a Patriot/Yankee fan

Wait a minute, you insist I'm only a Cowboys fan because they win and I can say 5>1 well hell 6>1 sounds better if you ask me.

Now again 1 step at a time.

Step 1.

My dads from Milford, Massachusetts. He moved to LA in the early 50's.

What teams should he have followed?

Are you afraid to answer the question, because you know, that with each question you answer it's an uppercut to you theory?

Upoer cut to my theory? First you root for teams because you have so much respect for your Dad... which is cool. But how did the Cowboys come in play. Sounds like you should be a Patriot fan.
