Does any team hold on to those old college scouting reports like the Cowboys do? Year after year we have some of the the worst coaches and we somehow think we are the ones who will turn these guys around
I would be shocked if Rico got $6M. If he comes in under $5M, I would be good with bringing him back and still drafting a rookieNo one is rushing to sign Rico yet.
At least we didn't give up a 4th for this one lol. It's like they are throwing darts in the Dart, just sign as many 1st and 2nd round busts as you can and hope one pans putDoes any team hold on to those old college scouting reports like the Cowboys do? I'd give Rico $10Mish over 2 years and play both of them. I might still draft a RB if one I loved was there but at least they wouldn't have to force it. They could do it if they felt the talent and value was there when they were on the clock like a draft should go. Right now we are still in desperation mode at RB.I would be shocked if Rico got $6M. RB and corner are definitely state of emergency. If we bring back Rico ro pair with Williams, a kid like Blue from Texas around round 5 would work for me. I don't want him back. I want a rookie RB since we signed Williams.I'd give Rico $10Mish over 2 years and play both of them. Rico is better than Williams. Williams would be a better 3 than 2I don't want him back. I want a rookie RB since we signed Williams.
And I just can't remember when one of those busts ever did anything. These dummies still are thinking quantity over quality. They could have brought Gholston back for what they signing two busts for. It's like the grasping at straws. They obviously learned nothingAt least we didn't give up a 4th for this one lol. That's 100% right. Spend the money they spent to bring back Lewis and Golston and if you're scared to spend more money, draft someone late or sign a UFA.And I just can't remember when one of those busts ever did anything. My problem with that is Williams was not good last year and they had some other guys who played better than him in the same situation and who were younger and less experienced who weren’t expected to be as good. A rookie is a crap shoot year one. So that could leave us even worse off than last year. But, if we hit on the draft pick then it works out great. This is what happens when you have so many holes and don’t fill them in free agency. You need to get lucky in the draft and there are only so many early round picks to fill them with.I don't want him back. I want a rookie RB since we signed Williams.
Yeah Williams hasn't been the same player since his knee injuryMy problem with that is Williams was not good last year and they had some other guys who played better than him in the same situation and who were younger and less experienced who weren’t expected to be as good. I just think this is the right approach. Osa was the closest must resign we had. Perhaps Turpin was #2.It's all about the contract amount. If someone else wants to pay a guy more than he is worth, you wish him well with his new team and sign someone else instead. There is always another player out there
