I'll take Henderson in round two. Very hard to predict though what they will do. I think they still may go RB early. So far they not impressing me. The D needs a lot of bodies. CB,LB and DT are real needs. The problem is they going to try and fix with rookies. Not a recipe for success.
Henderson is going to be awesome IMO

I'd love DB early (surprise) but...only if that happens with a 12 trade out returning a1st and an additional 2nd. Four picks from the first 75 would be awesome, in the first 100 doable.

2020/2021 Means a SHIT LOAD of 5 even 6 year football players with a large amount of "minor league" experience. I think more guys in this draft will contribute outta the gate than other drafts.

Now...coach wants guys who love this game, love their teammates. There are plenty of those throughout this draft. Fifth/Sixth year college guys just might be good, certainly the day 3 picks.

darn it
meant for draft thread

my bad
In a way its hard to talk about FA without mentioning the draft. Most teams build utilizing both. Except the Cowboys of course. Well yeah they will sign FA,but only as long as they are not over 5 million. And you can forget about multi year deals for outside free agents.

That is a good idea. 4 picks in the first 75 would be fantastic. The only thing I fear with having alot, is Jerry taking a stupid chance on one of them.

I would be down with drafting two defensive tackles early. Starting with pick 12. They still need a reliable backup to Osa. They also could upgrade at 1tech in this draft. They got edge rushers. I just see a lot of value at DT,but only if they do it early and load up. Harmon,Grant,Nolen, the Toledo DT. The Kentucky DT. I say turn DT into a strength... 2 of the guys I mentioned would really help the defense. They going to have to improve the trenches if they want to compete with the Commanders and Eagles.

I do like the idea of trading down . If they go DB, Will Johnson is an interesting player and could be a good replacement for Lewis . The knock on him is he lacks recovery speed? He may drop down the board a little. The one thing about him is he does his film study. You can just tell that he does his homework. This kid is made for Eberflus defense. I bet he could play nickel and be effective. This is a smart player.

Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, has made money from his stake in Comstock Resources, a natural gas company.

How Jones got involved

  • In 2018, Jones traded oil wells in North Dakota for shares in Comstock (stock price seems to be mostly in the teens)
  • In 2019, Jones invested $475 million more in Comstock (stock price mostly between $5 & $10/share)
  • In March 2024, Jones invested $100 million more in Comstock, increasing his stake to about 67% (stock price around $3.50/share)
How much money Jones has made
  • In 2022, Jones' stake in Comstock was worth nearly $3.5 billion, a 328% return on his original investment (price was $12/share at the start of the year and below $4 at the end)

Stock price today is $2.38. As good an explanation as any :noidea:

I am not impressed one bit with the moves they made yesterday. I would hope these were depth moves because neither of those guys should be starting. The RB ran for 3.7 ,yards per carry. That does not impress me. Jones possibly can run block. These are the same cheap moves these idiots do every year
