Heard on Mike & Mike this morning that Kyle Shanahan is trying to get Cousins for the Browns 26th pick in 1st round. I would take that deal in a heart beat.

If they had said Cousins AND our 2015 1st rounder it might hold more water.

If your going off the last 3 games for Cousins your making a huge mistake it wouldn't of mattered if Drew Brees,Tom Brady or Peyton Manning was back there they would have failed as well the team had crashed and was up in flames.

No he is not worth a 1st rd pick but it he better then a QB that you would be getting with the 26th pick as your starter. It all depends how you rank the guys and who will be available when the Browns select at 26.

We don't know that. Right now probably yes, but potentially no.

People never seem to get this...

Are you saying I dont understand??

He hasn't proved himself, why give up a 1st rounder when Hoyer played good before he got hurt. He understands the offense, but can he be a legit starting QB, nobody knows.

I think he was agreeing with you. I as well agree with you but you also have to see who is available at the 26th pick and then the Browns have a decision to make if the players left on the board do or don't have better value then Cousins. All depends on who is available and what the Browns have as ranking.

No I am agreeing with you, and I agree about Hoyer.

I would assume it's because I live in DC, but you'd be shocked at the number of people who are convinced based on 1.5 decent appearances (and discounting the times he was terrible), he's worth a 1st rounder.

I can't imagine KC getting a trade for a first round pick, it would be the shock of the draft to me. That said, I personally feel he has more value to the skins for anything less than a second round pick, which is still above his market value IMO. I certainly would take a second round pick for him tho.

One thought I haven't seen is that there may indeed be a team that reaches for a QB need above his value, as he still has a 4 th round salary for 2 years and it may seem to a team that that is worth developing vs a 2nd round pick and salary on an unknown.

Honestly, does anyone think Colt McCoy is the safer back up? I'd rather keep Cousins unless the deal is too sweet to resist.

Well Shanahan must think highly of him. I would still be shocked if they made this trade, it would not be a good start to the draft for the Browns

This is what surprises me most - that more Skins fans don't feel the same way. It seems like so many want to move KC, I don't think you all realize that you have a more than serviceable backup while you have a starter who isn't the most durable. Why not keep him?

I want to trade KC because I rather have a starter then a backup. If we get the 26th pick (highly doubt it) then that player can start for the Redskins (ILB, FS, OG) while Cousins is a great backup he doesn't help the team on Sundays when he isn't playing. If RG3 goes down I don't see KC saving the season for us. Its a risk trading a good backup especially when RG3 is the starter but its a risk I would take. I would only trade KC for a 1st or 2nd rounder.

I wouldn't take any stock in this rumor. A healthy Hoyer is better than Cousins at this point in their careers. Trading a 1st round pick for him makes zero sense. Right now, I don't think Cousin's value is any greater than a late 3rd or 4th round pick. It seems to me that Washington is overvaluing Cousins & likely won't trade him till they absolutely need to in order to recover an value for the pick they wasted on him. 2015 offseason is when he will get traded if Washington doesn't lower their expectations before then.

That's the critical point. Otherwise, his value to the skins is worth more, IMO.

Actually his value to the Browns is worth more b/c of K. Shanny. Cle first 3rd round pick should be enough. Skins get anything higher we scored.
