I agree with this. I hated seeing Munch go at the time. Our office of wine play bothered me more than any other aspect of the team this year. And that’s really saying something.I would love it if we could get Munchak back next year…
It really was offensive.*** and the offensive line play, too.![]()
I would imagine he is still under contract but the new HC may want to bring in their guy. I worry Evero may want to bail and ask to be released. What is the status for Evero next year? Is he free to walk?
A guy I sorta liked last year Kellen Moore is a guy I do not like this year for us. Seems like a bit fit for Wilson. A first year HC with Wilson is just not what I want to see right now.
Payton is clearly the top name for just about any team, however, the connection with Denver is hard to make for two reasons. First, Payton can be selective so you have to wonder if he would want to hitch his wagon to Wilson and second you have to compensate the Saints for his services and they will want draft picks which Denver doesn't have a lot of. Denver needs those picks badly as they don't have much cap space and quite a few holes including basically an entire new OL.Would you want Sean Payton in Denver?
Sure, but he's on record as saying his DC will be Fangio, who didn't exactly leave under the best of circumstances.Would you want Sean Payton in Denver?

Payton has also repeatedly said no to cold weather teams.
We'd owe the Saints a draft pick or two.
You have a motivated and deep-pocketed ownership group. Those two particular features should provide sufficient motivation to the best candidates available.I don’t see Sean Payton coming into this mess.
The problem is we don’t have the draft picks to give the Saints for his rights. Don’t forget he’s not a free agent coach NO still has him under contract meaning we’d have to trade for his services. You have a motivated and deep-pocketed ownership group. Maybe the Vic angle is problematic for the Payton hire, but Walton-Penner should be able to paper over the rest. Fair draft picks this year with a whole host next year. Fix or eliminate Russ within 2 years. The most important aspect is you have solid ownership. Even Paton could be capped for a guy like Payton ...if he wants to negotiate that much control.
That's definitely an issue and a potential deal killer, but it's still doable. The problem is we don’t have the draft picks to give the Saints for his rights. Don’t forget he’s not a free agent coach NO still has him under contract meaning we’d have to trade for his services.
Pete Carroll made me laugh the hardest.Elway and Shanahan! Lol
