I thought it was a dumb trade for philly...philly lacks a deep threat out wide and that is not golden tate. I think ertz is by far the best receiving TE in football and I like the fact they wasted a high pick in a TE this year

I agree. I liked Goeddart but he was a luxury when you have Ertz.

Tate is an underneath receiver who makes plays in the same area Ertz does. So I still scratch my head unless the need for a punt returner far outweighs a third round pick.

As for deep threat I like Agholor but he is a one trick pony for the Eagles.

I wouldn’t have made either trade looking back at it, but philly gave up a lot less.

Dallas... if you’re going to drop a 1st on Coop, he better see more than three fucking catches

Gotta give him time. He’s just learning the playbook, developing timing with Dak, etc

Trying to use stats to figure this question out is really useless, imo. The Boys gave up too much probably but they needed a WR badly and were desperate and so be it. So far, Cooper has made some really great catches but it's early. We should probably see how he does down the stretch and we should also hope Linehan and Garret get him the ball. Of course, it all hinges on Dak improving his downfield throwing. Amari has the talent and skill but it isn't just about him. I think he can be their #1 for years to come though.

I like Tate and he's a baller but it's not like he is going to miraculously make the Philly run game better or fix their secondary. He is just a minor piece of the puzzle, not the piece that ties everything together.

not always about stats.
It's about X's & O's

Amari even without the stats has helped this team so far.

Of course he has. Has he warranted a 1st rounder? Let’s not kid ourselves, it’s looking like a desperation move more than a good sound trade. Especially when you see what Tate and Gordon went for, it doesn’t make sense unless he really lights it up

Cooper is the Cowboys MVP in this game right now.

Well, it looks pretty good for Dallas today but some fucking godawful tackling helped. And Dak still can't throw longer than 20 yds. I guess we will see what happens.

There were a whole lot of ''experts'' killing the Cowboys for taking LVE instead of Ridley in the draft. How's that working out? Since Cooper has arrived, Zeke has three straight 120+ games with a TD in each. The Cowboys have won three straight that most folks figured they would lose. Cooper had a monster day yesterday. He is 24.....
If you look at the young talent the Cowboys have added the last several years and the turnaround in their cap, you come up with one conclusion...Jerry may be a goof, but Stephen Jones and Will McClay are as good as anyone in the league.

Actually, as much as people slam Jerrah for all the hype and BS, it's not like he hasn't put some talent on the field to work with. The Cowboys should be living up to the hype a lot more than they have. All that inconsistency has to go back to coaching. Be it coordinators or Garrett or all of the above. He made a bold move to give the coaches talent for right now. I still think they need to coach up Dak to learn how to throw downfield better to utilize a guy like Cooper. Once in a while, he seems to get it and do okay but too inconsistent still.

Even the three catch game I think all 3 catches were for first downs. The Cowboys could not convert on 3rd down prior to Cooper. He has to an extent filled the Dez/Witten void.

Cooper named NFC offensive player of the week

Has Tate been named anything other than "bust" ?

Amari Cooper has transformed the Cowboys offense - just check the stats

Pro-rated over a full season:
88 catches
