I don't see many others questioning this, I think they see it for what it is - Kadri has behavioural problems and the team is trying to get out in front of it, and had an obvious need to explain it to the public but were better served by not divulging the entire nature of the matter. Good on them.

I think people are generally inclined to defer to those with authority, so it's not surprising to me that public opinion trends that way.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until the rebuild starts going all Oilers on us. The Leafs also weren't the CBC HNIC broadcast Saturday night for the first time since 1973, apparently. Can't say that Leaf fans aren't sending a message.
