This is still better than the time a drunk dump truck driver hit the other span's webbing with his box.Have hated that bridge for 50 years.
They went 1-0-1 without him. 3 points out of a possible 4 aint too shabby. Might as well get rid of him while he still has top value.I guess that’s how irrelevant Edmonton is now. Wasn’t even paying attention to how many games they’ve played and had no idea his suspension was over.
The cap angle is negligible but to be honest the Leafs are in such a shitty position cap-wise that $1 mil will likely be pretty helpful to clearing the cap.Curious about something I heard in the last day or so. Subject is Connor Brown. More than one media type suggested (a) Connor is worried that he will be gone by next year for Cap reasons (b) presumably wants to stay and (c) it has impacted his play this year.
First I had heard of that "explanation".
The aspect that puzzles me most is the alleged Cap angle. His AAV is a hair over $2M. The "wise thinking" is making the argument that this amount is "too much" so he will have to go. Well, a replacement will be at least $800K, so moving Connor for Cap reasons only nets a little over $1M. That net savings does not seem large enough to warrant a change (on its own).
Seems to me the genius TOR media are making stuff up again.

I dunno. Could be a fun game I guess but at this point already being down Dermott, Gardiner and Kadri I'm just hoping nobody else eats it between now and mid-April.Big game tonight, possibly a Stanley Cup preview (wouldn't that be something?) - Hey, it's fun to dream, right?
