The Raiders are interviewing Packers CBs coach Joe Whitt. Hopefully Donatell stays with us.

Pagano at HC, Arians at OC, Manusky at DC, Maalouf at STs coordinator, Clyde Christensen in an undetermined/unannounced role, and then three others who have been named to the coaching staff. So far I REALLY like their set-up on the surface as far as having a first time NFL head coach goes.

With Manusky at DC, the probability of the Colts switching to 3-4 is very likely... I don't see Freeney playing DE on a 3-4 line so my guess is they will switch him to OLB.. They will also need to over haul their DL and LB corpse ... It would be hard to expect the same defensive personnel being in Indy next season therefore they will need a lot of new people to man Manusky's defensive scheme ... Since I don't see them trading away the 1st pick over all, I can see them trading down in subsequent rounds

makes sense to me, if you're going scorched earth anyway, do it ALL. so the question is how much patience do Colt fans have?

they must be like all fans so the answer is none.

they're in the situation where Sick's ideas make sense, test the trade market for players like Freeney and Mathis?

I don't know how they will be. I mean, they came from years of having a great team and it looked good for the foreseeable future and then, bam! I don't know how hard it would be to be patient. I supposed it could be like we did when Young got concussed out of the NFL. Sure, we had Garcia, but I don't think that was patience on our part per se, it was a slower let down fortunately (or unfortunately). It's like seeing the marching army in the horizon for us, versus getting sucker punched for them. We went from Montana (high), to Young (with a subsequent high), to Garcia and then we were fully down. Now we'll see if they get up before we did.

I wouldn't mind having Mathis and Aldon Smith as bookends. That combo would make opposing qbs want to wear their brown pants.
