Maybe someone covered that shit for him and it's corrupt as hell but it's not much to assume that he just went to a bank and was like "I'm going to be on SCOTUS" and they gave him a better line to pay it off.

For example, Sonia Sotomayor has made at least $3.5 mil from book sales since sitting on the court. Gorsuch made $650k on his deal, Barrett got $2 mil, Jackson jumped on that shit almost immediately after she took her seat. Assuming Brettley ever learns how to write I'm sure he'll be on that train.

Plus visiting prof gigs. Can get another $25k/yr off those bad boys.

Not to mention the $265k/yr salary.

In regards to America's waning attention span, and potential lack of help - that's all by design. The infiltration of Russian influence in our government ensures that the tap will slowly get closed. I will go to my grave believing that Ukraine never gets invaded if Hilary gets elected.

And The human in me doesn't want to believe that there are people who would take an opportunity to to enrich themselves while their people are being exterminated, but the Cyber investigator in me who spent a lot of time studying the syndicates in Ukraine who were trying to steal money online is not surprised in the slightest.
