The Q
Hoop’s Villain, Reality’s Hero
I disagree... they built up for the international tournament...
They resolved 90% of the issues
I’m curious how kreese can get involved in a tournament he doesn’t even care about

Was not as good.
Terry Silver is a caricature villain. In past seasons every "villain" has been very nuanced, and they even teased some redemption for Kreese. Not with Terry.
Johnny devolved into a complete idiot incapable of even functioning in a society. That montage with him being an uber driver was cringe af.
Also, Daniel as a real asshole to Kreese when they visited him in jail.

I thought this was the best season.
Johnny has been like that season 1
Silver was totally on point since he was like that in kk3 as well
I’m ok with that though. Allows them to do whatever they want in the next season.
Especially if they plan on having an international story next season. Kind of like karate kid 2. How the whole story was in Japan. And basically had nothing to do with karate kid the original
Part of what has made the series great is making a point in painting the caricature heroes and villains from the movies in a new light, showing some complexity.
They've done that with Johnny obviously (who was a stereotypical bully in KK1), Chozen and even Kreese. Even the "villain" kids from the series are fairly complex characters (with Kyler being the only exception), with several characters, including the protagonists, acting like villains at certain points.
With Terry, who's the main villain of this season... zero nuance.
I disagree.
Look at how he played everyone at that party and cost mrs Larusso her spot on the board
That was his best scene, but it was still being 100% a villain, just being good at manipulating people (particularly Daniel, who acted like an idiot).
Not saying that this season was bad... it was still a lot of fun, but I liked the previous seasons better.
I’m ok if they do that.
But that would’ve been better if kreese wasn’t available for this one
The show is still called cobra Kai. There has to be a cobra Kai representative at the international tournament.
Kreese isn’t evil. I didn’t think him escaping showed anything except that he is still in the karate game. I think he can still steal some of his old students away. Because he cares about his students. He is just old school and misguided.
Just finished the season. I’d probably rank it as my 2nd favorite season out of the five. It did feel like if the series ended as it did, it’d have tied up a lot of loose ends.
In my opinion, Chozen and Silver were the ones that stole the show this season.
Where do they go with season 6 though? Kreese is now a Michael Myers-like figure and Silver is in legal trouble. Obviously, Silver will be back causing havoc, but everybody else is getting along now; especially on the High School character front.
Maybe the 7 seneis and the grand-daughter of the founder of the karate style Kreese and Silver use will be the villans?
I was hoping Dutch gets a cameo in jail with Kreese but I guess it won't happen. I would like to see Bobby come back in some form.
Again, not sure where the plot goes now outside of preparing for that international tournament????
Barnes joins Miyagi- Do and gets back on his feet
Johnny become a Dad
Chozen woes Yumiko
Daniel trains the kids for the tournament
Kreese tries to tempt Johnny to start Cobra Kai up again
Silver pulls some legal crap to frame Daniel
Chozen was just perfect this season. He was a mentor, a warrior, and a comedian. I agree that we probably will not or will see very little of him. I would love a wedding announcement of some sort to make its way to LaRusso. Not a bad list.
I would just assume Chozen is off the show now. Not sure he's really needed anymore. His job is done and he can go woo Kumiko.
Yes Daniel and Johnny train the kids (and figure out a name).
You have to assume Kreese will get someone to train for the tournament...although I'm curious what loophole they use to get them in if they dont' have Silver's state of the art facilities.
Man, you would think Silver is gone considering how long the guy had been out of the game before S4. Getting a 3rd season out of him would be wild and unexpected. I was surprised we got a second season of silver tbh.

Hopefully, Barnes gets more screen time. I think there is a good story that can be told there.
I am kinda over the Kreese storyline to be honest. He uses the same tactic over and over again. He pretends to be the ally claiming he is doing whatever it is to "protect" the person. He manipulates said person and then tricks them into doing something they don't want to do. Let's move on guys!
I agree that he will snake his way into training some sort of bully-like figure into the tournament. They cannot find a better villain than Silver so I anticipate him being back in some form. They will probably explain it quickly, like his lawyer got him off or he paid off the DA office to get the charges dropped. I see a really weak explanation working to get Silver back in the picture from the get-go.
Things I want to see in season 6:
Wrap up the series before they jump the shark
Have Bobby baptize Carmen and Johnny's baby...LOL
Eli and Dimitri get into a prestigious University
LaRusso Auto expands
Chozen and Yumiko get married
Tory goes to college and continues to date Robby
Kenny joins Miyagi-Do and becomes the prize student
Sam and Miguel go their separate ways but stay good friends in college
Daniel opens a massive Miyagi-Do dojo and Johnny is the head sensei/manager
Barnes gets back on his feet, gets a new furniture store specializing in Japanese furniture, and is a part-time sensei at Miyagi-Do
Silver goes to the slammer
Kreese dies in some heroic way
Lets submit our ideas Q...LOLI love all this.

I love this show and the franchise...what can I say.
I wish Chad McQueen (Dutch) would get on board. I am sure he is done with acting and especially Karate Kid. I forget he is Steve McQueen's kid.
To me, he was more of a psycho-path than Johnny. When Kreese was choking out Johnny, Dutch just stood there while Tommy and Bobby tried to help at least.
Great call on that!Yeah. Him in jail is perfect for his character
Bobby a priest was something for sure
I love how Johnny and Daniel realized if they just beat the hell out of each other then they probsbly would’ve been fine
They also would’ve been fine if not for ali, but I digress
Funny how Daniels’s Villains in seasons 1 and 2 were both cause the other dude loved his chick
Great call on that!
I did love how they got Robyn Lively (Jessica) in there. Very clever writing for sure.
Snake would have been nice. That guy was a bozo, but also a narcissist in KK3. I am sure Julie Pierce is coming at some point. Maybe have Ali's friends in KK1 make cameos?
The cameos have been perfect and well-timed. Getting Elizabeth Shue to come in was brilliant. Hopefully, Barnes sticks around.
I also liked the throwback to Sato in him training Chozen. Sato was a terrible person prior to Miyagi saving him.
I am guessing they make this international tournament like "Best of the Best"? Maybe have some general goons from other dojos but not a specific villain per se? Maybe like "Warrior" in that some of the kids in the tournament are simply elite fighters but not really "evil"? Miyagi-Do can focus on training to be the best without focusing in on the other international dojos.
I am guessing the tournament is close to "the Valley" and maybe that causes some contention with foreign dojos coming in prior to the tournament. Possibly some of these fighters cause trouble as they prepare for the tournament. Who knows....I am trying to guess where they are going with it all. Bottom line, all the kids are getting along so the confrontation and drama has to come from somewhere. Nobody wants to see an 70-year-old convict running around training bullies while avoiding the cops.
What I will tell you is that I hated the last 5 minutes with Kreese. It was unnecessary and completely unbelievable. Just my 2 cents. Thoughts?
