I've got a good feeling about KW. Hopefully we land him.

I know nothing about Caldwell other then the GM set up his team to tank for Luck and then used him for the scape goat after the season. The Colts seemed solid before that, but solid is easy to achieve with Peyton Manning.

Caldwell would be a terrible choice. Not even judging him on the Colts disasterous season, but the Ravens this year.

According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, the Lions' interest in Chargers OC Ken Whisenhunt for their head-coaching vacancy is "very strong."

Per Rapsheet, the Lions have been "calling around, checking references" on the former Cardinals head coach. The sides can't arrange an interview until the Bolts' playoff run is through. Whiz would be an extremely sensible retread candidate for the Lions. His Cardinals tenure almost certainly would have lasted longer if not for Arizona's total inability to find a quarterback. He'd be a steadying hand for an undisciplined team.

I think the Caldwell reports may be to satisfy the Rooney rule?

I wasn't thrilled about Caldwell, but after reading more about him and his interview -- He has grown on me a bit. He preached how fundamentals and discipline come first with him, though that could be just saying what he knows what the team wants to hear.

The part I was impressed with. From what I read -- they said he had every single pass attempt made by Stafford in 2013 put on tape and watched every single pass attempt and broke down the problems with his mechanics and gave examples of drills they can do to correct these throws.

It obviously shows he is very detailed oriented and is willing to put in the time to help Stafford grow as a QB. In today's NFL, where passing the football is king -- Getting a coach in that would help Stafford grow as a player would be huge.

Did they break down Stafford in the interview? Or where did Caldwell break these plays and mechanics down? Just curious. But that sounds like the interview went well.

I wouldn't hate it. He did a good job in Indianapolis until the team imploded personnel wise. Baltimore did way better when he stepped in. They weren't that good thus year, but their talent is minimal.
