Good job. I think the $$ freed up by Percy helped KJ and Cliff. The one guy I think it will be tough to keep now is Maxwell. Still think Russell and Bobby are in good shape for new deals.

Defense wins Championships, and this is a testament to that. Our D is gonna be sick for the foreseeable future, but now raises the importance of drafting for offense. I love these deals, Go Hawks!

Is it the off-season already, everyday I wake up and a new player is signed to an extension. Well that helps the draft, I still hope they draft more d line for more depth or sign another rusher. I have noticed the D line has really step it up and started getting more pressure recently. I guess the line just need time to figure out their new roles.

this one is a shock to me. I did not expect them to hand out that much to Avril, i don't see how they can sign Wagner now but i am sure they will figure something out. They have to, if you ask me he is the best MLB in the NFC West hands down if not all of the NFC. When he returned thats when the defense started playing at this high level again.

I think the $ for Avril is fair. The team will sign Wagner and Wilson without question.
For me, I thought Maxwell is a very important piece as well but coach is wiser than me.

I agree, it's very fair. Pass rushers are not cheap, but you can never have enough of them.

I think Maxy became expendable when Simon filled in for him and played at the same level as Maxwell or in my eyes at a higher level. Also do not forget about Lane, i still think he is the best man coverage CB we got as far as sticking on someone. He might not be as physical but with his speed, quickness and athletic ability he doesn't have to be.

no joke, plus "IF" the Hawks make a deep playoff run these guys might have asked for even more. Better now than later.

For me, I thought Maxwell is a very important piece as well but coach is wiser than me.

The way I look at it is I think our secondary is still very good even without Maxwell. I think Lane, Simon, Burley can help fill the void. Also expect another late round draft pick to add there.

I am less sure the D-line will still be as strong minus Cliff Avril and LB core will be as strong without KJ.

I like Maxwell alot but I see their thinking I guess

Thats like.... your opinion man. Did you see the difference in this defense from the kc game to the arizona, niners, philly, niners game?

The difference..... bobby wagner........ He doesn't get the hype your guys do but he's every bit as good.....even better if you consider being on the field at the moment as important.
