The job Arians did in Indy this year should have made him a prime candidate for a HC job. Don't know how Clayton came to the conclusion that Gruden made more sense.

He was saying that Arians wanted to bring his staff with him. He wanted Whiz and Russ Grimm to come with him. Clayton also said Arians would still have Luck next year and he is going to get HC offers next year, why leave for a team with no QB. So it made sense to him for Arians to say no and Gruden get the offer.
