Why would being hammered keep you from staying the whole time? I've found I make much more noise when in the cups, which is always good. And also, bitches love cups.

That is all, go back to your Friday nights now
Good hunting Chuck.

For you beer lovers...

Last night we had a beer dinner. I am listing the beers on the menu, but there were more that were not on the menu. At the end, I know we also drank an IPA, because I had the bottle in my hand. I believe it is called a bomber bottle as it is 750 ml.

My wife and I were high bidders at a Red Cross charity auction for this. We were considered the hosts for us and our six guests. Which seemed to be important to the people.

We received lessons on beer, he talked about ABV and IBU. Then about hops. Then about top fermenters and bottom fermenters. The guy would pour a beer in my glass and say I could not drink it yet. I responded, why pour it in my glass then?

We had appetizers in the garden, drank a Paulaner Beer, a New Glarus, and a couple others.

Next up, Pumpkin Souffle paired with a Lost Coast Downtown Brown.

Almond Cranberry Spinach Salad paired with Bell's Oarsman Ale

Beer Cheese Soup paired with North Coast Old Stock Ale

Sauerbraten with Red Cabbage, Potato Cakes, and Sunshine Carrots paired with Deschutes Black Butte Porter

Dessert was Apple Strudel with New Glarus Serendipity.

I liked the Paulaner and the Black Butte. The women loved the Serendipity because it was fruity and sweet, I found it too fruity and sweet.

Sounds refreshing hb10, I'm going to a brew pub this weekend I found here in Albuquerque that has Abbey ales and other Belgium beers on draft, I like many different Ales and Bitters but the Belgium beers are some of my very favorites

Belgian Beers are the ones I fear the most. The beer guy went on about Belgian Beers being adjunct beers because they did not conform to the German rules of beer. The ones I have tried have way too much alcohol in them. I can handle to about a 7% alcohol content in a beer, I like a hops taste to my beer. If alcohol content is over 10%, just give me some Fireball Whiskey and forget the beer.

Another word I learned last night, no idea on the spelling EDIT: Thank you google Reinheitsgebot

Rhineheistenboat - EDIT I will stick with how it sounded to my ears. Something about the rules of beer written in Bavaria in 1514? Don't quote me, I sort of remember this. I was eating and drinking and quietly chatting during our lesson times.

Yes they can be very strong, Ive toured a few brewery's in Belgium and England, I like a heavy malty beer and the Abbey ale's are my absolute favorites but they are 9-12%

When the monks would fast for 2 months without food they would survive off the Abbey Ale's as a food source
