This is a little shocking
'Twas the case with Steven Nelson last year on a much deeper secondary, wasn't cut. Seems deeply questionableThis might be one of the reasons....
Rookie corner KeiVarae Russell is trying to master the Chiefs’ terminology
For a team that keeps its draft picks even if they probably aren't literally the best 53, it makes me think he was a douche in the lockerroom or something. Very unusual... Justin Houston got his deal reworked to open up cap space. Very strange sequence of events
He was awful, but it was assumed that had more to do with not knowing the terminology very well, and in fact, the terminology he had at ND directly conflicts with the terminology in KC. Not a reason to get cut, however. Was he good in preseason?
Yeppers I think. Kind of embarassing. Apparently was neither a fit in the lockerroom (was hearin "it") nor much good at his job. Some of his immaturity was known beforehand, but I can't say I care too much with a CB. Especially after drafting a guy like Marcus Peters. Just picked the wrong CB. It's noteworthy he went to another team that has managed personalities well in the Bengals. He very nearly ended up back on the Chiefs PS.Isnt that the guy the Chiefs drafted in the trade for the Bucs Kicker?
Everything I've heard is it was a lockerroom + performance issue. Hence the coded "football move" when asked about waiving him.I wonder if an off field issue is on the horizon. Did the Chiefs get wind of something?
