Chiefs/Steelers moved to 8pm Sunday

Pisses me off but I understand the safety concerns. I'm in the east and get up early, which means games ending at midnight SUCK. 1 and 4:40 was perfect, I record them and start watching the early game right around kickoff for the late one. It's why God created the DVR.

Why didn't the NFL move the game to a much safer day and time? Like Saturday afternoon at 1 PM?

Has nothing to do with safety........It's a better YV ratings time.

Or switch the game with the Patriots time slot on Saturday?

Not for all the vendors and support staff working both games. That would really cause chaos for them. Moving Chiefs/Steelers to late night is the cleanest solution for everyone involved - except the networks, but fuck them anyway.

Is anybody interested in buying tickets for this playoff game from me? The 2 seats I own tickets of are largely sheltered from the wind, so they are better than most seats for enjoying the game w/o freezing to death. The seats are first-level, underneath an awning. I will not be able to make it to the game b/c of the time change.

It is about safety, and ratings too, just not for the reason/s you stated.

An empty stadium on national tv would look bad, and the only option to fill it is create a time within safety occurs for those going.

Yeah that post was pretty stupid. Why would they play a game at 1 PM? It is stupid. Find me one professional team sport that plays their playoffs/championship on a Saturday afternoon?
