I was also surprised that they didn't sneak Brady, on the second one especially. Not sure it was going to matter though since the D was making Smith look like Dan Marino.

I think teams have finally wised up. but if they can't recreate the 2 yd pass for a 1st down, they're screwed

Naaah, No reason to think losing that game is good

I havent heard that take anywhere this morning

They may go 15-1, but I dont think its because of last night
again, im not saying its "good"...but it does put to bed that 19-0 talk, which IMO, was the best thing that could have happened to THIS 2017 pats team.

Von Miller aside, #61 was facing maybe the best pass rusher in the game last night, certainly top 3.

Kudos to Andy Reid and staff...really took advantage of the LB on Hunt...that play was a thing of beauty for 6....he appeared to be the primary read. Looks like it was set up from earlier.

Pats...I've been saying for sometime now that they don't have a great defense....take nothing away from a great comeback, but lost in the SB win was ATL's OFC output...the Chiefs further exposed that DEF last night....now w/o Hightower maybe.

NE will still win their DIV by Thanksgiving, but the road to the AFCCG might not be Foxboro this year.

I agree. They've been decent but that's about it. The fact that they were #1 last year in points allowed was tribute to the coaching staff. They do have gamers in players like Hightower and McCourty and sometimes Butler but the rest are just interchangeable cogs.

But they need some of these players to guide the rest of the team and with Ninovinch gone and Hightower hurt they were too thin.

You know, I didn't think of it that way.

Injuries to Amendola, Mitchell and Hightower probably was the best thing that could have happened last night.
well, if you follow the team...mitchells knees been an issue since last year. i assumed he would be a casualty at some point. amendola is a give in. hes seeing more balls, hes gonna get hurt more. example...amendola was targeted 29 times in 12 games last year. he saw 7 last night alone, plus punt returns (which i hate seeing).

hightowers just an MCL sprain, hes fine.

NYJ x 2
SF
CLE
DEN with no established QB
LA Rams, rookie QB
MIA with back up QB
PIT 1 gm with back up QB
HOU...shut out, back up QB

Those opponents probably helped...lol

I'm seeing people say NE has a bad DEF...nah, you don't win 2 SB in 3 seasons with a bad DEF...I just didn't see this juggernaut of a team and the DEF is a large reason why.

Good to hear it's just a sprain for Hightower.

That fumble by Hunt on the first play seemed to really fire up the rookie. He demolished the Pats after that, together with Hill, Kelce, and Smith had a great game. O-line was brilliant, Defense very stout in the second half. Never have I seen the Pats so lost in a game in the BB era. Kudos to the Chiefs and their fans in here. Hope this is a wake-up call for the Pats.

The defense is the big story from last night but the "high-powered" offense was underwhelming as well. The offense will be ok but the D needs a lot of work!

Replay is up, my homework is done, and I don't have anything to do in particular until a party tonight. Yeah, I am rewatching the first 3 quarters that I didn't get to see live.

Rakeem Nunez-Roches (99) is gonna be a name here pretty soon if he keeps this up. He is hard to handle with his burst.

These shovel passes with Kelce are dope and are hard to defend in short yardage. Great addition to the playbook.

Demetrius Harris looks like a useful RZ target; strong as an ox. Would be nice to see the receiving catch up to his blocking.

Conley is gonna find some open space and make some big catches for that team as the focus will be on the other 3

And Albert Wilson feels like hes' been in the league for 18 years

Yeah, Conley being the #3 target (realistically the #4 with how we use RB's) means if he's getting 40-50 yards a night with intermediate chunks, I am pretty happy. Wilson can be launched into the sun.
