Looking like Larry Johnson 2.0 (the good version) out there with that 27 on his back. Got crazy balance.

Told Clayton yesterday the Ware injury will be a blessing

Imagine a healthy Ware last night, with Hunt just "sprinkled in"

Different outcome

Maybe less, sure. The way the OL was blocking Ware would have had 150+ scrimmage yards too. They were really going after Van Noy in every which way when Hightower went down.

Eric Berry was everywhere last night

Injuries are a mother fucker in this league, Id love to see how good that team could be fully intact, now one of the best goes down

Yeah, it gets real old seeing 1 team a year be made of titanium seemingly (see Falcons last year) and the Chiefs, well, not be. You get paid to figure it out though and Sorenson is pretty decent. He just... can't cover Gronks.

Its hard to pick an MVP for the Chiefs but the oline is he unit that impressed me the most. The oline had a couple of games last year where they struggled a bit but I think they were excellent and I think the Patriots went with only 3 rushers and rarely blitzed on a lot of plays so the whole thing gave Alex Smith all the time he could ever want and they really steamrolled in the run game. I think as the game wore on, the Chiefs just had the more physical athletes, too.

The thing about Hunt that the preseason never really showed is whether he was a poor man's Zeke or Zeke. On his touchdown receptions he looked a step faster than I was expecting. I'm not going to crown him the next HOF guy or anything but if you have a starting running back that can make those runs and those catches then he is going to at least be good.

Pretty much every member of that secondary was essential, though. Berry was everywhere and had some of the most important jobs. Mitchell was covering guys he had no business covering and I still think he had a good game. Losing Berry is a pretty big blow but the big takeaway from this game I got is that once the Chiefs stopped making mental mistakes they were able to lock in and win with their style. The Chiefs run D coming up big on 4th down was essential, too.

16 of 36 for 267 with 0 TD's. How long has it been since TB didn't throw at least 1 TD in a game?
