Even a cheap shot from a tiny guy is still a tiny hit. I don't envy him going up the middle in week 1.

Flying to Boston tomorrow for a little business but looking forward to catching up with old friends, going to the Red Sox game Wednesday and of course going to the Pats game Thursday!

Pats win big. Chiefs can't keep up with that offense. These raise the banner nights are electric for the home teams. Add in the "Roger factor"... that place will be rockin!

Here's the real question. Can the defensive backs run with Cooks and Dermott??? If yes, the Gronk gets three TDs and Hogan only gets two. If no, Gronk gets one, Hogan gets three and Cooks gets two.

As fast as these guys run, I just hope that Brady can throw the ball that far, especially in the second half.

Chiefs were one of the most schizo teams in the league last year. Going to be interesting if they can put it all together at the same time this year. Nobody is going to dog them with a road loss to the Pats, but if they're on top of things it could be interesting.

Sure, the game is over before it starts if Kansas City's secondary doesn't hold up. Terrance Mitchell is a bit of a stopgap last year that played very well down the stretch.

For KC to win we'll probably need a monster game from Chris Jones and Alex Smith. Monster game from Alex Smith is not something I'm comfortable with.

I don't think they're going to make much of an attempt to run with them nor should they. Bully is more likely with the WR's. Or at least I would expect them to try some man press. Probably doesn't matter with Brady as what is normally covered ends up being open with him.

The Lamar Hunt trophy is named after our dead founder and we’ve NEVER won the fucking thing!
I'll take my chances longterm with Mahomes and Reid. If Carr and an old Rivers, and some entity called Paxton Siozweilerien in Denver is the resistance intradivision, I am pretty comfortable longterm with what I am seeing from the young QB. Thanks for the concern though- :)

NE wins by two scores, KC makes it interesting. NE needs a few weeks to get their D in order.

Thursday can't get here fast enough. Go Pats

The Boston Patriots went to the AFL Championship game that year (3 weeks after this game) and were absolutely crushed (51-10) by the San Diego Chargers. I'm glad I was only 3 years old so I don't remember it.

I'll take the Patriots giving 7 points. KC's defense is going to need a stellar effort to slow down Brady and his new toys because I don't see Alex Smith matching NE in the scoring dept.

It could wind up being one of the better Thursday night games of the year.

I agree about the D. This matchup is hopefully what they need to work things out. Alex smith is a good QB. He's just limited in what he offers.
