Some of these attitudes we are seeing can generally be associated w/ lazy asses who are giving very little effort, have run out of excuses, and are getting called on their inactions.

It's a defense mechanism.

The talent is there. They were a step above all their high school counterparts and didn't have to work for it.

They get to college and are pushed by kids with less talent, but with hard work can be at a similar level as the hotshot.

To maintain the extra step the 'hotshots' themselves need to work harder.

He had 1 tackle against UCLA.......and I rewatched that game..........they ran the ball right at him several times.

There's nothing wrong with weeding out the bad apples so long as it's just that.

I don't pretend to know what's going on in there cough BRS cough, but I can only imagine what the hell that locker room is like right now.

One thing I remember from the B1G preseason show is that the talking heads loved the depth NU has at the DL. I think they said something 17 players. That SHOULD create some serious competition so maybe Rome doesn't like that a frosh is pushing him for PT.

Rome seems like a spoiled little bitch to me. Doesn't get his way and throw's a tantrum is how it appears. Thinking of himself vs team is not what this team needs.
