Talib is the #1 target in FA. He should be around 6 million. Hall would get 3 million. Well worth it for both of these guys. We just need two olineman. A RT which everyone knew about and a Center. Ribeye and Gettis should get a chance to start in training camp.

I question a Talib signing. He will want top dollar and after watching him play the past several weeks, we can get better value for the dollar some where else. Ribeye and Gettis are not starter material unfortunately. If they were, they would be starting over the 3 poor offensive linemen we have currently at the Center & Guard positions. The problem with the offensive line won't be corrected in house. Both Ribeye and Gettis were poor selections in the draft. We just need to admit that and move on.

Ribeye was a bad choice because he wasnt a 3rd round value

gettis wasnt a bad choice , he was a late round pick that we took a flier on

as for dean , why is it a forgone conclusion that Rak will want "big money " and talib will settle for this years rate with a worse team ?

as for Rak 5-7 mil is about right . and remember you boy jackson is a FA too and since he is the "next coming " perhaps he will want to play for a contender

and remember talib is a strike away from a major suspension

of course he has and of course it can be incentive laiden as well . but the range was 5-7 wasnt it dean and now you are pushing it to the max ?

the guys is 5th all time on the skins sacks list . he has been a pro bowl player 2x 's and an alternate once . he is a core redskins player who is good in the locker room and conducts himself well off the field .

he is entering his prime and the franchise tag for an OLB is 10 mil

so yes 5 years for 35 mil is just about right

well there is no way we are tagging him if we have to pay him 10 mil. I believe that is overpaying for Rak. That would be the deal talib would get in FA and talib would be more important to the defense. If rak receives that deal what is Kerrigan worth in 2015? Rak has showed us nothing in the last two years to deserve this deal. He wasn't a factor in early 2012 before he got hurt and definitely is not a factor this year.

Lets hope he takes a hometown discount deal at 5yr 25 mil.

I am glad Minnifield will get a chance to play. Talib is too close to a Cerrato move. As I have said many times Rak is not seen as the player some here on this forum see him. All you had to do last week was watch the 49ers LBs compared to the Redskin LBers and you could see the huge difference across the board.

Is this team ever gonna build through the draft or always be FA dependent? Time for change, after next draft I would like the team to look for ways to get better through the draft.
Yes there are some needs through free agency, I just hope we don't do anything stupid, we have to sign Rak.

I cant believe you guys are on board with signing Rak for 7 mil per season. The replacements are Jackson, Jenkins, and Tapp. We have a lot of money this offseason we must use it wisely. Why wouldn't you guys want Talib? He is a top 5 CB in the league. Is Rak a top 5 OLb in the league? no. Talib should be our #1 target in FA.
