Most likely he was "advised" to throw at his pro day so its a little more scripted to his needs, which isn't that uncommon!

Charlie might have got some good info and the kid interviewed like crap.

I want to say it was Tuesday when Casserly made the comments on NFL Network that his sources where saying Kyler Murray's interviews at the combines " were so bad that he doesn't deserve to go in the first round."

I've never seen a reporter rip a player like this guy did. As he's saying it's almost like hes doing it on purpose to help drop the kid down boards!

Obviously he is hooking his boy Mayock up so that he falls to #4 and the Raiders can draft him.

This post is a non-sequitur. What he reported wasn't his own analysis; it was what he heard from NFL sources who analyzed Murray. I don't know why that wasn't clear.

Of course it's a possibility. But calling it BS because Murray didn't hire him makes zero sense.

When people have negative information about a prospect in the NFL, they don't attach their names to it. That could come back and bite them. Of course an NFL head coach is going to say positive things about a QB when he's on the record. Casserly doesn't have to worry about that because he's not in the league.

None of that says he's lying or telling the truth, but the conspiracy theories about this are dumb.

Yes, it could come back and bite these sources, assuming they put their names to it, if they say stuff about a young man that may or may not be true.

It also could come back and bite that young man and cost him millions of dollars, and could be motivated by someone seeking to have him drop a few draft slots.

The burden of proof is on the person making the accusations. So far, he has nothing and is getting called out by quite a few people including all kinds of coaches, journalists, and yes, other famous ex-GMs, some with more credibility than him.

Gil points out exact reasons in these tweets that he can't be objective here. Being friends with Kyler's dad for 30+ years being one of them.

That being said, he's not wrong that a ton of disinformation comes out this time of year and it's looking more likely that Casserly and/or his source has fallen for it.
