True, just don't go on a day when the Dodgers are playing at Petco. At least San Diego still has the Padres...
It really feels like you're at Dodgers home game.

I don't root for LA teams. Fuck LA and Fuck Dean Spanos.
lol - That's not saying much - their stadium is kind of dilapidated as well if memory serves me right. I love San Diego and they get a lot of tourism. I just can't figure out why they couldn't keep the Clippers and now the Chargers.I'm sure there are plenty of nice and happy LA people, I just get around to rooting for a team there. At least San Diego still has the Padres...

This is why cities should own the sports teams, it sucks losing teams you rooted for all your life and they just pack up and leave town... It's a slap in the face... Packers have the best model of ownership out of all the NFL teams, had they not done that they wouldn't have them there right now... It's funny how the NFL quickly stopped other teams from having that ownership model... Sorry San Diego fans, totally sucks ...
Isn't StubHub center like 27,000 seats? I mean I guess they could sell out every game?
Perhaps a Cleveland Browns type situation? Best thing that could happen for San Diego is to get rid of Dean Spanos and get another team in here to adopt the Chargers brand. That may take 20 years, or may not ever happen, but this is a team that has the deck stacked because of the ownership, yet they still have a ton of support. No longer. For Christ's sake this is an owner that fired a 14-2 coach and replaced him with Norv Fucking Turner.
Fuck no. Never. Long time San Diegans despise LA. Dean Spanos can burn in hell.
Lately yes. San Diego and LA are not much different with regards to fans. Put a good product on the field and we'll turn out in droves. Suck balls and we'll keep buying season tickets but sell half the tix to make our money back. That's how you have over 50k season ticket holders and 35,000 Raider fans in the seats.True, just don't go on a day when the Dodgers are playing at Petco.

It was a lousy bill. I voted against it.Hell, they couldn't even get the residents of San Diego to vote for a new stadium that tourists were going to pay for.
You could probably make a pretty badass secondary from the Chargers and Rams, actually. They should combine the teams. The Charging Rams! It worked for the Little Giants and Cowboys! Two coaches one team!? The Cowboys got a beast LBer/cheerleader and a QB out of it.
The team would probably still suck.
QB: Philip Rivers
RB: Todd Gurley/Melvin Gordon
TE: Hunter Henry
WR: Allen is about it.. Austin/Benjamin might be okay in slot.
O-Line: Would still suck.
D-Line: Bosa, Aaron Donald, Robert Quinn (that'd be awesome to see)
LBers: Would still suck.
Secondary: Would still suck.
Least that way they could maybe go 7-9 or something.
Yeah, I've been around to see it all too. Went to my first NFL game in 1953 at the Los Angeles Coliseum, Rams and Niners, 104,000 fans. Something that I will cherish until my final day.In my lifetime, I have seen:
The Baltimore Colts move to Indianapolis
The Raiders move from Oakland to LA
The St. Louis Cardinals move to Arizona
The Cleveland Browns move to Baltimore and become the Ravens
The Houston Oilers move to Tennessee and become the Titans
The LA Rams move to St. Louis
Cleveland and Houston both be granted new NFL franchises
The Raiders move from LA back to Oakland
The St. Louis Rams move back to LA
The Raiders threaten to move to Vegas
The Chargers threaten to move to LA (looks like they're serious this time)
The Jacksonville Jaguars threaten to move literally anywhere on the planet besides Jacksonville
And that's just the NFL. I've also seen about 4 or 5 NBA and NHL teams relocate, some of them more than once, plus the Montreal Expos moved to Washington...and we're probably not done yet. This is just something that happens in sports.
San Diego has the same problem as LA. For the most part, the fans don't give a shit about sports because there is a lot of other outdoor recreation with the nice weather and all.
