I like Arrieta a lot. Pretty unusual how he transformed himself from sort of a journeyman type pitcher into an ace. Still not sure that Greinke doesn't win CY, though.

It's funny. I don't think Greinke is ahead of Kershaw, either, right now. Arietta has an ERA below 1.00 in the 2nd half? Did I hear that right?

Probably so. He really has been outstanding the second half. Maybe that carries some weight in the CY race.

The NYE Mets are my favorite squadron!

Chappee, we did it honey! It's been a long season, but you stuck by your Mets! Whooo! Whooo!

I'm not thrilled that Harvey will be capped at 18 pitches in the playoffs per Boras, but that team looks very hard to beat in a short series.

Was very interesting what happened in Cincinnati. Harvey told Collins before the game that he wanted to throw 100 pitches; after the 6th, Collins asked him if he wanted to go back out there or not, and of course Harvey said yes.

So why couldn't they have done this during the Yankees game last weekend?

That was a joke. Is there any backlash towards Harvey over this? They could just make him the closer in the playoffs and go DeGrom, Synderblock, Matz to spite him. It seems like everyone should have planned for this back in July, or something? I didn't like that Boras mentioned a 180 inning limit when he was already at 170 innings.
