Rangers have no scheduled starters past tomorrow as it stands, but given when he last pitched, if Gibson takes the mound for us again this year it means we didn't trade him.

I have a hunch Gallo remains a Ranger for the simple reason he and Boras think he is worth more than anyone wants to pay. His stats are hard to justify as a hitter.

There are a few other options. An okay trade, a good one, and a great one are options too.

With Minor we held onto him and also got a bad return when we did trade him. Surely we could have done better than Marcus Smith and Dustin Harris had we traded him in 2019.

It is difficult to blame them when a trade isn't made one particular time, but if it keeps happening while other teams are making trades then something is wrong.

Hopefully, JD learned a lesson with Minor and maybe even with Lynn a year ago, and can teach Chris Young to not make the same mistakes.

I am certainly not predicting we won't make any trades, but we should be prepared for that possibility.

When it is all said and done we should be able to look at who got traded for who and judge what kind of market it was. Then, sometimes it comes out which teams turned down which offers.
