Make the Capela trade and sign DLo or Brogdon. Could probably squeeze them both into the cap, definitely Brogdon.

DLO max is a little over 27. So you would need to dump Bear and semi as well. And probably another player

i seriously think wannamaker can do it if need be. we have rozier (who only goes right if you watch, no left at all), and the 2 guys we drafted.

PG is a dime a dozen. celtics need size.

I need to see who they sign to their front court. They've got nothing with Horford and Baynes gone. Morris is too undersized by himself even if he does resign. I saw they were hoping to get in on the Phi/Hou Jimmy Butler sign and trade (if it happens) and snag Capela which would be great, but if they just end up with some average hohum front court player, I don't think they are contenders. They'll be a playoff team, but that's about it

@Gman

This is what I was talking about.

Celtics Reportedly Trying To Become Third Team In Rockets-76ers Trade

"Who and what the Celtics would send out in the deal — and where — remains a mystery, and a rather complicated one at that. If the Celtics sign Walker to a max deal, the would only have the Room Exception ($4.8 million for two years) and league minimum contracts, so they’d have to trade away someone to fit Capela’s $16 million salary."

Would Boston give up Marcus Smart essentially for Capela?

It's an interesting conundrum.

How much cap space would they have left after signing kemba again?

I'm guessing the Rockets won't trade anyone unless they can trade all 3, so it's still a long shot.

Close to nothing apparently. I thought it was $5M or so

Looks like just under $2.3M, renouncing all their free agents and keeping cap holds for their two first round picks and Semi's non-guaranteed contract. Dumping Semi gets them to approximately $3M (dumps 1.6M, but adds a cap hold for an empty roster spot of $897K).

Report: Hornets offered Kemba Walker significantly less than max contract

Well I can see why the C's are favs now.

"By being named to an All-NBA team this past season, Walker became eligible to sign a five-year, $221 million supermax contract with the Hornets. They could also offer him a regular max deal which would be worth $190 million over five years. The most any other team can offer Walker is a four-year, $140 million contract. However, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith reports that Charlotte’s best offer to this point was $160 million over five years."

That's only $32M/year. Other teams can offer more a year, just a year less.

So if this is true it makes you wonder why Jordan did not move him a year or two ago..................what am I missing here?
