Haha, love it.
You have somewhat of a point... but you're totally overstating your case. This team has beaten the cupcakes and got punched in the Mouth by anyone with a pulse
No reason to be optimistic yet
I wouldn’t call NY, Miami, and Indiana cupcakes. This team has beaten the cupcakes and got punched in the Mouth by anyone with a pulse

Through 23 games...
Pretty dang good, overall. And we've avoided major injuries (KNOCK ON WOOD). That's the real key... try to be healthy going into the playoffs and then win when it counts.
- Celtics are currently 18-5, best record in the NBA
- We're a dominant 12-0 at home
- We're current 7th in ppg offense, and 3rd in ppg defense
When our starting 5 is all healthy and on the court, we are (simply put) the best team in basketball. Not perfect, mind you... we're still prone to turnovers and bad shooting nights... but every team got their issues and no team is currently better.
That being said... interesting test coming up with back-to-back games at home versus Orlando. The Magic have clearly taken a step forward this year, and they've been a tough match-up for us going back at least a couple of seasons. Tonight we're on the 2nd night of a b2b, so that's gonna factor in.
We'll see how it goes...
On the bench, Horford is rock solid. And Hauser has been lighting it up from deep. Pritchard is feisty but no more than competent. Luke Kornet is fine in short bursts as a back-up 5.Time to make that last trade to fix the bench

Beyond that... we do already have some "ok" deep depth bodies (Brissett, Stevens, Banton, Mykhailiuk) that struggle to get consistent playing time as is. But they all have some real NBA experience, and are reasonable deep depth options.
No rush to make a trade that I can see... but if the right deal comes along at the deadline, sure.

Turns out... we sent the upstart Magic a little message...... interesting test coming up with back-to-back games at home versus Orlando. Not so fast, little bro.
At any given time, the C's are likely to have no weak links on the floor surrounding Porzingis... therefore: teams can't help against Zinger, and he's just too skilled to be stopped. That’s like Shaq levels…

Additionally, if and when teams switch trying to defend the C's... Porzingis often gets matched up against a smaller player who is kinda hopelessly outmatched.
This is the best Celtics team we've seen since the Big 3 era.
