Overall I agree GMan but the loss to the dubs irritates the shit out of me. Feels like a bad trip even tho at hi level one might say oppositeJust wrapped a 6 game West Coast swing with a 4-2 record... not too shabby....
Having Horford out for a prolonged period on top of RWIII already being out definitely hurt. Blake Griffin hustles out there but dude can't play defense at all any more.
Still, we came out 4-2... which is a good record for one of the toughest stretches of the season.
Yeah, the Celtics played poorly in that loss...Overall I agree GMan but the loss to the dubs irritates the shit out of me. Feels like a bad trip even tho at hi level one might say opposite

That loss hurt, but I thought they might lose to the Suns, so a wash.Overall I agree GMan but the loss to the dubs irritates the shit out of me. Feels like a bad trip even tho at hi level one might say opposite

It's nice we get to play Orlando again right away...
... duds happen, especially during the regular season, and I expect that Boston will be motivated to put last game behind them.
Dropped 5 out of 6 now... including 3 in a row at home. Not a good stretch.
We're now officially 40 games into our schedule. A good time to update this thread.
The C's have been pretty mediocre the past 10 to 15 games... even dropping 5 out of 6 at one point. Stretches like these just reinforce the fact that the NBA regular season is looong, and it's hard to stay fully focused and top level throughout it's entire duration. Our 3 pt shooting % has also cooled significantly.
Even with the rough patch, though, Boston still has the best record in the NBA:
What do we know about this Boston team? When the 3 pointers are falling... we're a juggernaut.
- The Celtics are 28-12 overall
- We're 15-5 at home
- We're 13-7 on the road
- We're still the top offense in the NBA
However: when the 3 pointers aren't falling, we can be beaten by anybody. This is because our defense has just been 'ok'... no where near up to its potential.
That's what I want to see most of all leading into the playoffs... this team playing better and more consistent defense. With RWIII back, we've got all the parts. There's no excuse to not play better, aside from giving listless regular season effort at times.
They could make a move, but they don't need to.They got 3 second round picks this year and Gallo's contract (plus Jackson or blake too) to make a move.
I'd like a litlte bob insurance so Kornet isn't needed to play big minutes, but it seems more likely they just clear gallo for the yacht money and then sign the kid off the practice squad...which could work, I've been a fan of his.
They need to add some of these younger g league kids to their 2 way, even Primo. Take a gamble on some talent.

If fully healthy, the C's got a tight (and sick) playoff rotation as is.
