He did get it done, but 4 straight wins vs the Giants twice, the Redskins and the Cowboys at home. That there is a murderers row, a who's who of NFL juggernauts

You’re right... the cowboys played those teams early in the year when they had something to play for. The eagles got them at the end of the year after they were all banged up and had nothing to play for.

What was your point again ?

So what did the dolphins have to play for?

And I'd argue the redskins were playing their best later. The cowboys were coming off their beat down of the rams when everyone said they were back. The giants and Danny dimes I was told are hitting their stride coming off a 5td 500 yard game.

But again. Dont let reality get in the way of delusions.

Zac Ertz played 15 games this season. Miles Sanders played in every game. The Eagles WRs were frequently injured certainly but every team deals with injuries.

That's not to say that Wentz should not be given any credit for what he did but being lucky enough to play in the weakest division in football and getting to play the Giants twice, the Redskins twice, the Dolphins and the Jets isn't exactly murderer's row.

Sure, but it’s still the NFL and not having Ertz for the last two must win games is hardly something to be overlooked and Sanders went out early in the giants game.

And that’s not including the long laundry list of injuries to the opening day roster throughout the year.

Again, it’s not “Herculean” but it’s not the cakewalk others want to make it out to be either.

Why would it matter if you play the Giants/Redskins early or late in the season?

He brought up the last 4 games of stats, which yes, he did get it done with some crap talent at the skill positions.

Let's be real though, if you shagged 3 chicks off fugly row and 1 chick that was stumble down drunk and may have been heading to fugly row, would you brag about it as being an accomplishment. Hell, would you tell your friends at all?

Hahaha. You faced Eli... and he was winning. You didn’t mention that. Danny dimes? Hahahaha. Cowboys have severe coaching issues and despite that still almost overcame them.

Go ahead. Keep chest thumping at 9-7. We are all enjoying it. Oh... and you mean that same dolphins team that beat the eagles too?

Here is a brag: Philly beat Green Bay at Lambeau this season.

There is no doubt what you are saying is true. But it’s about keeping perspective. To say that eagles underachieved as whole this year would be an underestimate. All teams are suffering injuries this time of year. The Seahawks are literally signing guys off the street to play RB. Yes, winning with those injuries to win the division is an accomplishment but are you really ready to declare Wentz is back in the mvp conversation next year bc he beat the giants twice, the redskins and a dallas team who’s QB didn’t take a snap in practice the entire week before the game? Again, it’s about keeping things in perspective.

Well I'm not saying it was a cakewalk either as that is an overstatement as well.

But it seems to me that the debate between Wentz/Dak/Goff seems to move around a lot based on who is playing well at any given time.

If @knowyourenemy is predicting it you may wanna lay off it. :nono:

Dude is straight up money. Any guy who gambles his kids Christmas present money is legit!

I’m not ready to talk Super Bowl yet. I don’t want to get ahead of myself. The Eagles will need to get past the Saints in the NFC Championship first.
