I've no doubt the Canes can beat anyone on their schedule, but they haven't played lights out yet against "normal" competition. It's hard to really know how good a team like Miami is, because they haven't had a proven history with most of the players on this years team. October will be a very telling month for not only Miami, but the rest of the ACC.
We really haven't been too challenged in any of our games, mostly due to light competition.
-gator fans can talk all they want about how they "lost" the gamebut in reality they got beat early and then we hung on.
-USF and GT were really never close, although we did start slow vs GT.
-FAU, Sav ST, not really worth mentioning.
As for proven history, we did not play any game last year without starting at least 5 true frosh. Our whole team has had sigificant playing time together.
What may be hurting the Canes on paper is that the starters have not played a whole lot, only the uf game did they stay in for the majority of the game. So their numbers are deceiving. October should be a cakewalk only UNC and Wake left, with that said either one could be a brain fart game for us, we do that sometimes. 1st two weeks of Novemember will be the tests.
