So let's say FSU runs the table which would mean they would've beaten Clemson, Florida, Miami, and VA Tech or Miami in the ACC conference game. Who would you take for the National title game? 13-0 Oregon/Stanford, 12-1 Georgia/LSU or 13-0 Alabama?

Also you can apply this to Clemson who would've beaten Georgia, South Carolina, FSU, Maryland, and either Va Tech or Miami in the conference title game to go 13-0

Is it possible that FSU/Clemson would get a National Title birth over a 12-1 SEC team?

If this were the case, yes. With three or more undefeated BCS teams, would have to look at resumes of said undefeated teams to come up with a rational decision.

What if all 3 were 13-0?

You would be able to make a case that Clemson wins are actually better than Bama's.

Bama would have beaten Georgia or South Carolina ( 2 teams Clemson would've already beaten on their way to 13-0), A&M, Ole Miss, and LSU.

I would have to say Clemson beating Georgia, South Carolina, FSU, and Miami or Va Tech would be a better resume

The problem if 3 were 3-0, let's use Bama, Clemson, and Oregon as an example, would be conference perception.

If a SEC team goes 13-0 they're pretty much automatically in due to the past decade.

It would come down to Oregon vs Clemson, or rather the PAC vs. the ACC. I think in general the PAC is viewed as the better conference which would help their cause hypothetically in the human portion. Computers may help Clemson in this situation, but if I'm not mistaken, they have little to do with the selection compared to the humans.

If you wanted to seriously argue resumes, I think Clemson and Oregon would arguably have better resumes than Alabama in terms of year end rankings, but I don't think there is any way Alabama would be left out.

It would largely come down to the media's(ESPN) agenda in this situation. "East Coast bias" vs Nike U would be very interesting to see unfold if it came down to it.

Bama also beat VT.

UGA=UGA
A&M=South Carolina
LSU=FSU
VT=VT or Miami
Ole Miss= ? Maryland

Pretty similar.

They could but only if Bama and/or Stanford or Oregon loses. Those 3 and only those 3 would finish ahead of an undefeated Clemson or FSU in my opinion.

If Oregon and Clemson are unbeaten, and a one-loss Georgia beats an undefeated Alabama in the SEC title game, I'd bet Georgia jumps Clemson even with a head to head loss.

I would take that bet. I don't think it would happen. Clemson's played a decent schedule and 13-0 would have the dawgs watching.

It's too early for this kind of talk. Remember last year when it was a done deal K-State vs Oregon with only two weeks to go? There will be some inexplicable losses by top teams that bring chaos to the established order. But I don't think a 12-1 UGA jumps a 13-0 Clemson. They might jump a 13-0 FSU.

I don't think a 12-1 UGA should jump FSU either because FSU wins would actually be more impressive than Clemson because 2 of their top wins would come on the road @ Clemson and @ Florida while Clemson would only have 1 impressive road win

No way especially since they beat Georgia.

VT = Miami, seems to be a stretch. A lot of this will depend on Georgia and Florida. If Georgia and Florida win out (except the game they play), then Clemson could get a huge shot in the arm. Say they beat Miami and Georgia. They get all of Georgia, Miami, and Florida's wins in their SOS. It is a huge boost.

I believe either could make the nc game. It would likely require an upset of some other teams, which of course is possible. The nc game is very open and no one should book a plane to the game based on the season so far.

If the 12-1 team is Jawja and Clemson is 13-0, absolutely. If there are more than 3 undefeated teams though, probably not unless SCar is 10-1 when they play, FSU goes 11-1, and whoever Clemson plays in the ACCCG is either 12-0 or 11-1.
