Bucs are in Buffalo tonight for a game with the Bills on Prime.

Shaun McDermotts has been all over the Bills' defense, especially the DL. The coach has reached panic mode. His job might be on line if the Bucs pull a second upset and shove the Bills down to 4-4. Bucs intend to follow what the patriots did and move Josh Allen out of the pocket and force him to throw on the run and not let him run free.

Bills are 4-3 and are coming off a loss against the patriots
Bucs are 3-3 and have lost their last two.

Bills are favored by 7.5 points.

Reports this morning are saying that BB has turned down multiple offers for Uche, Ugger, Trent Brown and Hunter Henry.

Bret Breer said that the best offer so far has reportedly been 5th round picks. Here's the problem: Neither Uche or Ugger or anyone else will get Bill a Compensatory pick in the 2024 Draft. Ron Rivera is trying to get both Ugger and Uche on the cheap. Bill may be thinking that he'd rather keep them both and possibly resign them before next March with his large amount of cap space money. Breer thinks that Bill will wait until 3:59 PM next Tuesday before letting anyone go. Breer thinks that Ugger and Uche are worth third rounders but BB might have to settle for fourths if he let's them go.

As previously reported, the team to watch is the 49ers. They have 40M in cap spoace right now and might be willing to pay $30M for new contracts for both Uche and Ugger.

Teams that have been mentioned as potential buyers are tye Chargers, Commanders and Lions. Like Breer has said, "Once talks with any team get or are perceived as getting serious, other teams will start to call" He laughed and said, "Halloween could be a horror show for anyone trying to fleece Bill Belichick."

5th round offers are insulting. Duggar IMO is at least worth a 2nd and Uche a 3rd. Maybe that's how they came up with 5th they added 2 and 4 together?

Maybe they have sources from the other team? BUt in the end I think a lot of them are speculating
Phil Perry says in an article he wrote today that he spoke with several GMs and that everyone in the league is looking for edge rushers. They told him that they can't pay what Bill wants.

Problem for the Patriots is that Uche and Dugger and others are all in the final year of their contracts. No one wants to pay a premium price for a a ten game player who might not be willing to sign a contract next February with a new team. Hence no one is going to give up a second or third round pick. BB is basically telling them that he's not selling them a Super Bowl for a nickel. Perry says that the offers are fifth and sixth round picks.

A couple of teams are willing to give up fifth and sixth round picks and a promising young player in his first or second year. Bill might be willing to do something like that, but that kid had better already showed something playing a few times in real games and not just a PS player.

Most teams can't do anything this year because they're all tight against the cap. The 49ers have $40M that they can spend now. They might be able to talk to an Uche or Dugger and offer them an immediate bonus and extend them for $13M - $15M per for three years and be willing to pay more.

So here's the real question. Is Bill better off trading four or five players now and getting a bunch of fourth, fifth or sixth round picks or keeping them all and letting them walk into free agency and get nothing in return??

But everyone's cap resets at the end of the year is DE or S are a position of need you might have the cap space next year to address a veteran. And if it position of need with a proven player a 3rd is not unreasonable. Personally I don't see BB getting rid of Duggar but time will tell

Yes their caps reset. But right now, the 49ers have the money to create several contracts with this cap money that will carry over or become a contract against the cap next year. Other teams can't create a $15M contract that will be effective in 2023.

I think he'll try to get Dugger to stay once the season is over.

Historically, Bill won't give them away.
There is also value in winning as many games as we can.
Beat Miami this Sunday and that may add interest.
Historically, we will resign some of these players anyways.....

NFL Trade Deadline 4:00 pm TODAY!!!!

Every one in the media, talk shows etc. has sources somewhere and according to every one of them, teams are calling the Patriots looking for a bargain.

Interesting statements. "Why should the Patriots hold on to anyone not named Chrisian Gonzalez?"
"15 guys are planning to walk away at the end of the season, why not take what you can get?"

According to Shefter even the Dolphins are inquiring about Douglas.

Should the Patriots be having a fire sale? As one guy said, "They haven't won with the players they have, why should we believe they will win with the same players?"

Make any argument you want, Patriots will be active today or will finish the season with the exact same team as they had at 6:00 am.

No way I see BB getting rid of Douglas.

3 Bama starters. Hurts with Brown( Bill whiffed on him) and Smith. Tua with Hill and Waddle and Mac with ???? The only guy who did separation. Jacoby Meyers left and JuJu was brought in. BB who has no clue about offense, wanted to let Brady and Gronk leave ( 3 SB's later), how has Jimmy G faired?. Keep drinking the Belichick kool-aid.

Bill's values system isn't the same as everyone else's.

Vikings trade for Cardinals QB Dobbs.

Well we don't know what offers were or were not made. Also I don't really remember Bill being all that active this time of year. FA offseason yes, Draft yes, in season I don't remember him being super active.
