I bet the over in this gm. Went to bed thinking it was going to be rained out. Crazy

I think they were determined to play due to the rain out on Friday. It is already mid August. Would have been hard to find a makeup day

That hurts just watching it. Hope he fully recovers.

Note to OP. Please typed "F'ed" rather than "fed". Your title made me think he was caught with PEDs.

Nationals GM Mike Rizzo: Bryce Harper has "significant bone bruise" but no ligament damage. "We feel we dodged a bullet." Michael A. Taylor will be coming of DL today.

They will rest him and make sure he is 100% before he comes back. Being like 15 games up in the division I don't see them rushing him back. Then having Trea Turner & Jason Werth return before playoffs will make the amazing hitting team already better. Keeping Strasburg healthy is key.

Good news on Harper, no serious damage.

The Washington Nationals say Bryce Harper has a “significant” bone bruise in his left knee but no ligament damage, and general manager Mike Rizzo is hopeful the star outfielder will be back for the playoff push.

You have to admit it look really bad. Good news he'll be back.

Honestly, it really didn't. He hyper extended his knee, but that generally can wind up being okay. It certainly doesn't usually lead to an ACL tear or anything like that. My sister is a doctor, and she said it looked like a possible PCL... but fuck her. What does she know? I play FanDuel baseball.

Nats have now lost their entire outfield this year, plus their SS. Can take 4-6 weeks to recover from a bone bruise.
