Hook or not, Malkin is not performing. There's a time when the risk outweighs the reward and it's now. He's got to go after this season. His defensive liabilities aren't worth the pitiful chances he creates. He's a selfish skater.

Geno was the best forward out there tonight. Easily.

I thought he was great tonight, except putting the puck in the net, had a million chances. Sid was garbage.

One of Malkin's biggest problems is like tonight...when he is going well, he tries to do everything by himself. Hook or not, just chipping it up the boards prevents that goal from happening.

Sid was great in second OT. Other than that, he was merely winning faceoffs.

Geno was the best forward out there tonight. Easily.

Ripping shots in frustration in the center of the goalie's numbers doesn't exactly tout being the best forward.

Their power play has shifted back to lacking creativity because they're so damn scared. I'm sick of the pish posh passes from Letang to Malkin. There's 3 other skaters on the ice and people better suited for those roles. Iggy has been completely misused since they got him.

IF this ends in four, there are sweeping changes coming to the team. Coaches and players included. Step one for me would be to remove Gils Meloche.

He was, but I expect more at this point in the season. The shift that he lost his helmet was a thing of beauty.

That's on the coach. No idea why Iggy isn't out there. It was clicking so well with him out there earlier.

There was a ton of things that could have been called. Both ways.

I think that most of the things that were let go should have been let go. Agree or disagree, everyone knows that they let stuff go the deeper you get in the playoffs (especially in OT).

Maklin (and players in general) has to know that and fight through. I thought it was a smart play by Jagr.

4-1 lead. 11 minutes to go in the 3rd period of game 7....

Just thought I'd remind any Leafs fans who might be around :D

Says the guy who bitches about the refs non stop.

Fuck off pal.

I said it was an obvious hook.

Oh just watched the replay.... Malkin slashed Jagr on the same play. The breaks won't ALWAYS go the way of the Pens.

So again... Fuck off!!

Ya know on replay Malkin hooks Jagr first and then Jagr hooked Malkin. Go look.

In any case this game took about 5 years off my life.

I mean, I agree in general, just not tonight.

Agree about Iggy, he should have been with Sid since the beginning.

You know what REALLY sucks? After my team gets knocked out, I need a series usually need another series "off" to just...you know, mourn. Getting knocked out in the conference finals is miserable. Also, I don't think I can cheer for any of the remaining teams. I'd chose Boston, but Marchand and Jagr make that a "no". Chicago? Patrick Kane and friends being far too smug for people who've only watched since 2010. LA? Meh, they JUST won. Share it.

4th win is always the hardest win. This thing is far from over.

Expanding on this. Shero made every move he could to bolster the lineup. Ownership signed off on bringing a lot of money on board. I really don't see Bylsma making it. Shero won't want to look bad...expectations were too high. This big of a collapse? No way he makes it.
