That pretty much hits the nail right in the head esls. Another example would be the Habs/Sens series when after a Sens player, who I can't remember his name, got suspended for a game, the bullshit from game 3 I believe it was when a Habs player blatantly elbowed a Sens player (a brutal elbow IMO), Shanny did nothing, zilch, nada. That to me was an all time low for shanny and his office regarding dangerous hits/plays.

Pretty much.

The entire Sens v. Pens series was also reffed based on the colour of the jersey rather than the actions of the person wearing it.

What was so confusing about that was that, for the most part, the Pens were doing a fine job of schooling the Sens and the refs still piled on.

Mark my words, and I said this early in this playoffs, NHL officiating is starting look a lot like the NBA's. Big name teams and players get the calls from 90 % of the zebras these days.

I'm honestly very, very, very sick of newspapers and blogs picking out specific tweets from no-named people on twitter and making a big deal of them. Maybe those people will learn a lesson, but if you search anything on twitter you'll lose hope in humanity. Matt Cooke had approximately 100,000 death threats last night. People are racist left and right, homophobic, xenophobic, you name it, twitter has it. The Boston.com article on it (blog post) was bad...how people don't freaking edit that stuff is beyond me. Picked out two tweets from Pens fans, labels the entire fanbase (hello Joel Ward memories), and proceeds to very professionally refer to Sid as Cindy Crosby. Yes, because giving him a girls name makes him a terrible player and human being.

So, how about this weather, huh?!

If it was not for morons on the Internet, I would not have a job.

Although "Moron" and "Internet" are like qualifications for the media of late.

Geez, wouldn't it be something if the Bruins could leave Pittsburgh tonight with a 2-0 series lead?

Sid's comments on game 1 officiating:

"They're letting a lot go out there, and the more it gets like that, the more it’s going to escalate. You can only control and channel that stuff so much. You keep letting guys do that stuff, you’re just going to push the envelope.

"That’s something we obviously want to stay away from, but it’s kind of a natural thing when it gets like that."

It will totally be the refs fault, too.

So it was because of the officiating that he decided to mess with Rask and then get in Chara's face (figuratively of course, not literally)?

As a former goaltender, I did love Rask's little shrug after the bump.
