Sid's comments on game 1 officiating:

"They're letting a lot go out there, and the more it gets like that, the more it’s going to escalate. You can only control and channel that stuff so much. You keep letting guys do that stuff, you’re just going to push the envelope.

"That’s something we obviously want to stay away from, but it’s kind of a natural thing when it gets like that."

Do not fear. I am sure the Pens will have as many PP's that are needed to secure a win tonight.

So it was because of the officiating that he decided to mess with Rask and then get in Chara's face (figuratively of course, not literally)?

As a former goaltender, I did love Rask's little shrug after the bump.

Yeah, I think it's ironic he would make that comment but seemingly forgetting he bumped Rask which set the wheels in motion for the scrum. Personally I have nothing against Sid. He seems like a nice kid and is a hell of a player, but sometimes I feel like he thinks he should get special privileges. I hope I'm wrong because that's one of the many thing wrong with the NBA these days. Let's hope the poor officiating and bullshit stays in game 1 and the rest of the series will be officiated fairly both ways and we'll be treated to some great hockey.

Oh yeah, and the Bruins kick ass and win in no more than 5 games :D

The scrum bugged me quite a bit actually. He just got cleared to play without the protective chin guard on and you can see from the interviews and such that it's still bothering him. And you know full well that if Rask or Chara had popped him people would be screaming about punching a guy with a broken jaw, history of concussions, etc.

Keep your head down (figuratively again, not literally) and play hockey. Leave the macho bullshit and the annoying shit to the guys who get paid to play that way.

Same with Malkin. I like seeing Malkin play with an edge, and Bergeron is a hell of a hockey player, but I'm pretty sure the Bruins would happily trade having Bergeron on the ice for getting Malkin off the ice any day of the week.

You think Gregory's dad will really let that happen?

I would ask you to reduce that picture 43, but Chara is just too freakin' big (lol)

Is Jagr getting ripped in Boston? I guess as long as the Bruins win, he'll fly under the radar.

NHLonTSN: Jagr has 0G on 40 shots in playoffs, back to reg season has 1G over past 23 games. #TSN

Good to see the Pens are being consistent about giving up the lead... why play from ahead?!
