From a football standpoint I'm not sure what the gripe is. Like others pointed out he can spell Chubb late in the season. For a million bucks to grab a dude that talented it's a nice risk.
And he's a restricted FA after the season.

what he did was wrong, but was it really "domestic violence"?
Nope.
It was a bad decision, but not a career ending mistake.

If Hunt has an OK season next year (600 yards 5 td's), can they get a compensation pick if he signs with another team in 2020?

how is it a two back system?
rams only had two backs because gurley was hurt
chiefs were a one back team
saints basically were kamaras backfield
Pats have 6 backs
cowboys 1 back
chargers 1 back
eagles multiple backs

so of the final 6, 2 used multi back systems

we can toss the texans, seahawks, colts into one backs

bears, ravens into multi backs...........

not seeing the multi back thing
Colts use 3 backs, nice try though.

I would think if he has an OK season they'd just match any offers he received...or trade him.

No when healthy, Mack was the workhorse. Pretty clear. Good try though. Check the box scores
Way to move the goalposts. I'm a season ticket holder for the last 35 years. I've watched every Colts game since they moved here. They are a running back by committee. Yes Mack is the primary back but to say the others are insignificant is ludicrous. Hines and Wilkins get about 15 to 20 touches a game as well.

2 back system doesn't mean there isn't a number 1 guy. It just means that the days of 1 back who carries almost the whole load are nearly gone. Of course Barkley did nearly all the running for the Giants. So there are exceptions.

With the Colts, it mostly went 2 rushes for Mack, 1 rush for Hines, 2 rushes for Mack, 1 rush for Wilkens.

Domestic violence generally implies a longstanding set of behaviors with a partner.

This is just drunken nonsense reading in between the lines, with possible (likely) alcohol and anger management issues.

So he was already suspended 5 games in 2018 or was that not part of his suspension?

I could see him getting a 4-6 game suspension imo. The only player that was suspended a full year. In other cases similar it's been 4-6 games. Hardy did get a 10 game initially but it was reduced to 4 games.

Hunt is a great receiving option and Chubb is not, so I expect Hunt to get a # of opportunities out of the backfield. Also never hurts to have a 1-2 punch with a back who can catch, as the Saints have shown.

Despite the depth, I would've liked Seattle to sign this guy. Hunt is an extremely talented back who is in the midst of having his career ruined by yet another clam.

This is a A+ no brainer signing. IF the Browns make the playoffs next year and Hunt isn't suspended too long, I expect him to be a major reason.

Exactly, this signing doesn't hurt, it can only help.

Chubb is a great back but like you said he isnt really a dual threat receiving back.
Duke is basically turning into a slot WR and receiving back, just look at the way the Browns used him.
Hunt would take Duke's reps at RB and more, Duke could line up at slot. If he can play this opens up the offense a lot imo

Terrible move unless Chubb is in trouble. An unnecessary addition, especially when Chubb showed such promise.

Huh? lol. Unnecessary? First off, you can never have too many playmakers especially bc injuries happen. The Browns need another RB to go along with Chubb and this is honestly the perfect combo. Hunt is a do-it-all back, Chubb isn't a huge threat of the backfield to catch the ball.
This is actually an amazing move and it only costed them $1M LOL

Your best bet is to worry about your Soap Opera of a team and not worry about mine. You got bigger problems than worrying about how many Running Backs any other team uses. Between your diva WR, pothead RB, and rapist QB you have a pretty full plate.
