Another article I read made it seem like we are his plan B, if Saints let him get away. Breeland/Browner, I could live with that. Wanted Browner last year.

Its not like the Saints can afford to give him anything more than a happy meal and a large coke. AFTER the Graham trade they are $4 million over the cap as of 9:00 AM today. With Brees rumored to be unwilling to do a contract modification... the Saints are going to be ahrd pressed to be able to afford any thing this year or next actually.

I'm not so sure. Browner was successful in large part to the "hands on" approach the Seahawks had been getting away with in past seasons. It seems that illegal use of the hands is now being enforced which makes him a little less valuable imo moving forward. Would rather have a 6' corner with blazing speed who is disruptive than an aging Browner.

Ive heard that Browner is a 'scheme specific' type of player that may or may not work well with us.

Of course with Barry being new, who knows what the exact plan will be.

I'm going to trust that SM is familiar with whether the talent and $$ fits or not.

Browner is a mauler. He wins when he can get his hands and body on you and knock you off your route. If he has to play off and try and cover, he can be a liability.

Good thing he'd have safety help! Oh wait.... :fear:

Saimts have around $4.4 million in cap space, so unless Browner is willing to work for Vet minimum... .thats a hard sell. Because they need atleast $2 million to cover the rookie pool.
