Meanwhile Gregory appears ready to get started:

Gregory’s been limited in practice this week due to his shoulder and also his knee, but defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero gave him a strong endorsement Friday, saying Gregory “looks ready to go” despite the Broncos handling him with care during training camp (he was an observer for all of it) and the preseason (he didn’t play at in the last two games after being activated Aug. 15.

Other than the Chiefs games this is the game I’m most worried about, big questions marks around “how will Wilson play against his former team” and “how will Denver play in Hackett’s HC debut”. Lose this game and the talk of “does Russ still have it and did Denver make a mistake” will run rampant.

Of course because in sports media there’s no reaction like over-reaction!

Add 'Hackett should have played his starters during the preseason' chirping too.

Special teams Baby! The Broncos lost a couple of games a year recently due to ST breakdowns. They gave the new ST coach the guys he wanted, and I expect a difference maker product.

Was that a shot of Russ crying? In what, a preseason game? The hell was that?!

He's an emotional guy and obviously a lot has happened in his life over the last 6 months. So my guess is that first time stepping foot back on the field after everything was an emotional moment for him.

As long as his chaps are ass-less, he doesn't much care.

Who are you cheering for?

BTW - go Air Force today! (Sorry, Mingo - I’ll cheer on your Buffs the rest of the year.)

Or, he's disingenuous and saw an opportunity to ham it up at a time most normal humans wouldn't have tears streaming down their faces.

Hes always been the cliché machine, but the last few years this sense that he puts on such a fake personality publicly has emerged. The social media posts, even when he was in Seattle (Hey Seattle, we have a deal) and the one he just did 2 weeks ago... he's acting. It's fuckin weird.

Ehh I guess agree to disagree. Cousin of mine used to work for him and said the guy you see on tv is the same guy you see behind closed doors.

And to say the National Anthem isn't a time someone would cry is just not true. Bronco fans clearly remember back in 2013 Knowshon Moreno crying. There are pictures of Reggie Wayne crying during the National Anthem.

Dak Prescott just a couple of years ago was crying during his first home game back from injury. It does happen.

That's fine. 10 years of watching the guy is why I don't buy it. We can check in in a few years of "Let's Rides."

I've been around a lot of people who are like him personality wise. I don't see myself being worn out about it especially if he is helping my team win games. That is the part I don't understand with Seahawks fans. No QB has won more games to start their career than Wilson. I could understand this more if he was losing games and acting like this.

This is the unit I am almost as excited to watch as the offense. Like you said they cost this team big time the last few years. Would love to see a game where they end up being a part of why the Broncos win.

I've loved Stukes so far and how well spoken he is but until we see this unit on the field tough to know how good he really is.

Well seems to be heading in the direction of Josey Jewell missing Monday's game. Stinks to see this last minute injury show up for him after he worked so hard to get back to the field. It is a long season though so would rather have him healthy later in the year than now.

Sounds like Singleton is going to get the start in his place. I feel pretty good about Singleton for this game. Does decent against the run and Seahawks will be relying big on the run game. I wonder who will be wearing that green dot though?
