Got to remember also that many of these Alabama guys especially , excel because of all the talent around them. Need to be careful about having to much expectations if your drafting them and expecting them to come in with lesser talent around them and filling an immediate hole at that position. If you draft some of these guys your better off having the fortune of easing them into rotation and not throw them to wolves to soon and impeding their chances. The guys I prefer ( especially O/D line, are the ones that have garnished attention while the talent around them is suspect. Not the guys necessarily that have some of the best recruits in the country all around them. Can be very misleading. IMO of course. :)

They do but they are all very safe and you can see how good many are. I feel like you account for that. I think Allen is actually a little overrated as is Foster (I think I would trade back at 2 if Garrett was gone and if someone wanted a qb, move back... Some have Foster going top 5 which is silly, he is an amazing athlete though and can get better on his mental processing and speed.

I think Williams is underrated actually... His tape is nuts to me. Bend and burst and strength. They rotate him in on pass downs but he IS good against the run.

And Humphries is super young and big frame. Rather raw currently but he would be cultivated here. I would pry trade down again if we drafted top 15, but if we were at like 22 or 26 and he was there, that would be a good pick.

I didn't put any WR or G or C or QB in my list and there will be some picked before we are up

Yeah it's pretty sad when it is 3rd and 1 and you're 85% sure we aren't going to pick up the first down.

Sprint right was over use for years . but this year a few times would have been nice .

Sneaky OL places

Washington Huskies This coach is kick butt at finding and developing players like Clady

Boise ST Ditto

Arkansas

Arkansas is now using Wisconsin type of zone blocking and they have IMO some decent OL I have not looked to see if they have any worth wile for the draft yet but I believe this is year 4 with this coach ..

True Gotsis isn't the main part of that equation for success. I still believe in Lynch and what he can do. He has regressed a little as the season has gone on but I think it is because he is so afraid of making mistakes that he is just a hair slower than just when he allows his natural athleticism to take over and go make plays. This will be a big off season for him. And really it will be for many reasons. Maybe different coaching staff coming in than the one that selected him making it that much harder since he isn't "their guy". Could depend on what other competition we bring in to go against him. Then can he work on his mechanics to where next year going into training camp instead of having to worry about counting his steps in a 7-step drop it just feels natural and he can be looking down the field.

Okay I have not played attention what is all this talk different coaches ???????????????????

Last I check we won a SB this year .

One of those that could still work out for both teams. Also I think with that OL in Dallas a lot of young QB's could have success. I mean they had a great running game taking a lot of pressure off the QB and plenty of time to look over the field and see who is open. I think a guy like Lynch could have done well with Dallas this year.
Good comment. An O-line can make or break a RB or QB. An example is Gurley. If he were in Dallas he would be just as good or better than Elliott. Just my opinion.

He may not be. If Mike McCoy gets fired I wouldn't mind the idea that he is brought in to be OC and then move Dennison to O-Line Coach. Then the players know who the play caller is. The OL is actually having a guy that somewhat knows what he is doing in coaching up the OL. McCoy has worked with raw/athletic QB's and drop back and pass QB's and has success with both.

probably not bad .. I hope Dennison is moved to help Elway .

I want us to poach a OL coach . That one you was talking out of Dallas sounds interesting

Haha definitely a "dream". That would for fix a lot of problems on this team and this defense would be loaded for many years to come.

Well depending what we do in FA I could see ILB rising high on the board of needs. Say we go and sign a couple of DL and OL players making those positions less of an early need in the draft then I could see the Broncos maybe trading back just a bit and taking a guy like Davis.

Some interesting declared today

Baylor WR KD Cannon (No surprise)
Miami QB Brad Kaaya (Looked like a possible overall #1 this year, but hasn't quite developed like many figured... Figured he would return for his SR year)
NC State S Josh Jones (Big guy with great tools)

Kaaya surprises me for sure after having such an up and down year. Might be a guy worth it later on to get and try to see if we can develop him.
