First mock draft I've seen has us taking Zach Cunningham, LB, Vanderbilt, how do people in the know feel about him? Do we have to go Offensive or Defensive Line in Rd 1 or can we use a good quality LB to play opposite Marshall?
Watched that bowl game. Don't remember him standing out in game but that doesn't mean much. I am kind of getting in a bowl induced coma with so many I've watched. As much as I want O line! O line !. That ( LB ) position is damn near as important.

Cunningham has been very impressive. Moves up weekly. I would be pretty happy with him. Very productive. Doesnt miss many tackles. Not a good ILB class. He's a guy I would consider early with a need and not much depth at the position this year in the draft.

Does he start day 1 if drafted with our #1? He'd have to .

Yeah he'd have to. Todd Davis has been an average ILB at best this year so wouldn't be too hard to upgrade with a guy like Cunningham or Jarrad Davis of Florida.

I don't worry too much about ILber and draft grades. Denver had two quality ILber in Danny T and BMarsh.
I think with 10 picks and FA Denver will have very good competition for ILber in 2017 if they decide to make a priority.

He plays like a RT . Power ..His feet tells me at times (Heavy) he is soft in his core but he never gives up ...still he will need to get better shape for NFL other than that he looks to have perfect form .

he and wolf will besties if we draft him I bet

Little crazy as 1st round olineman have worked for several teams
Not a fan of TE at #20. I view TE and WRs as luxury picks after your other positions are fortified

I feel you, but man I like OJ. Would help our run game, middle of field pass game, and red zone game.

I think just about every NFL team that just watched freshman Sam Danold play in Rose Bowl is thinking about tanking in 2018. :) He has " IT ". Mcsorely has very bright future in NFL as well. What a friggin game that was ! Whew! Give me some Rb Barkley as well ! Wow! Hope some of you watched whole game.

yeah darnold has a future in this league haha has a hitch in his throwing motion but plays with good arm strength and ability to do aaron rodgers and move around in backfield to create plays. Only a freshman which is nuts.

Yeah I would agree that 1st round OL shouldn’t be that crazy. It is a need and with the depth of the OT class especially in this draft most likely need to get one in the 1st 3 rounds of the draft to get one that can play. And really I would say 1st 2 rounds would be the cut off for most.

I would also add that teams are doing a better job of adjusting to the new CBA rules especially when it comes to the OL. When the new CBA came into place no position took a bigger hit than the OL. We have seen though some rookies lately actually playing well and even the rookie Conklin getting some consideration for All-Pro at the RT spot.

As for TE most years yes TE should not be a consideration for 1st round pick. It is kind of like the RB position of it takes a true star for it to be worth it. OJ Howard of Alabama though is a guy to check out as he is special. He has speed/power/intelligence to his game. I have loved seeing how well he has worked on his run blocking throughout his college career. Very underrated part of his game. Then you add in an explosive receiving option and he makes a lot more sense if we take him 1st round. He improves so much of what this team lacked this year.

I get OL in RD1 but, wouldn't you pass over it in a weak class like this one? If this was the best OL draft in 5 yrs. Yes OL OL OL in RD1 . I'm not saying if we did this year we couldn't hit jackpot at 20 . It might be our history at drafting them is where my concern comes from.

Who do you compare OJ Howard too with any former or present NFL player?
