i almost wonder if this is the year, given how few needs we appear to have right now, we can flip some 2017 picks for 2018 picks lol kinda like the pats used to do year after year.

Yeah you can have our 2017 2nd... for a 4th this year and your first next year :)

ugh lockett would be great lol that is the type of guy i want. again, not so much a need as a want lol

One could consider it a need though. We don't want Sanders back there handling the punt return duties. Norwood is only under a 1-year contract so he could be gone after this season. So honestly we could be without an actual returner when we get to the draft. And with Norwood gone that also means we have a hole in needing a true slot WR type player. So yeah I could see the Broncos using a mid-round pick on a guy they view as a dynamic returner but also a decent WR. Seems to be where those type of guys go in the draft.

Looks good to me. The only reason I say safety is if Stewart is gone and only having 3 actual safeties on the roster. You at least like to have 4 for the season so I could see them drafting a Safety. Throw in just how many 3 Safety sets that Phillips loves to use. I have never see a DC that loves to have more safeties on the field like he does.

I would love that! Good chance the Broncos would have to lose the rest of the way though to get him.

Kirk is a true SOPH. Will be a first round guy in 2018 draft, IMO.

You know I love John Ross. Perfect return man/slot guy. Might be the fastest WR in the draft too assuming he declared and all.

Switzer is rising. he has had 30 catches the last two weeks, catches everything, slot and return man. Has had a great 4 years of college ball but just finally getting on the map because his numbers have increased, he has always been a playmaker, just more opportunity this year then ever and with a much better QB.

I am all in on Ross and Switzer... I LOOOOOVE Ross.

Switzer is sorta like a Welker/Edelman.

Ross is sorta like a Mike Wallace/DeSean Jackson type.

Also like Clemson WR Artavis Scott as a KR/Slot guy, he has a lot in the Clemson offense keeping his numbers down but he has NFL Skillset to do just what we need.

Shelton Gibson of WV probably not a return man but major speed guy. He is more of an outside option though then slot. He needs to add some bulk.

James Washington Oklahoma State would be a nice slot. Another WR I am very high on.

You are forgetting a kid that would receive a hero's welcome if the Broncos drafted him. Christian McCaffrey. He would solve our punt/kick off return duties. Add to both our RB and WR depth.

Both Washington and Gibson are also JR's.

I'd say Washington matches more what we need then Gibson.

Ross and Switzer match what we need to a TEE.

Anybody else watched some on Charles Walker of Oklahoma for the DE position? Seems to have a good first step, plays low, and makes plays in the back field.

Yeah I like Walker, he is about the only thing I like on Oklahoma D. Their D is brutally bad his year, like the majority of college football though.

I just can't justify going RB round 1.

I can't either. All the added features of his game though make him a bit more than just a RB. When you no longer have to have a guy just for PR's or KR's on your roster. When you can actually move him all over the formation because of his ability as a WR. So he becomes kind of that swiss army knife of your roster where you can plug him into multiple positions and have him be a big play weapon.

I probably wouldn't draft him 1st round. Not sure honestly if I would draft him. I look at all his college use especially this season and I see a guy that could break down very quickly in the NFL. WE would have to monitor his touches just a bit in my opinion. So again probably not my first choice and if I were him I would either tell Stanford stop giving me the ball so much or just say I'm done and it is time to start preparing for the NFL draft. I think all this constant use will actually hurt his draft stock more than help.

Just watched his Florida State and Pitt game. I love his game. He actually reminds me of me so of course I like him. I was that quick slot guy that wasn't the fastest guy on the field but just found ways to get open. He does it much better than I ever could.

Positives:
Enough speed
Great quickness--does not lose much speed when changing direction
Makes the tough catches
You can just see his intelligence on the field
Makes people miss but also knows when it is just time to get as many yards as possible
He is trusted by his QB in the biggest moments and comes up with the catch...Watched one play on 4th and 7 in the Pitt game where he was triple covered and the QB still threw it to him and saw him come up with the catch.

Negatives:
My one complaint and this is just me nitpicking is that he can be somewhat of a body catcher. He uses his hands plenty but there are a lot of throws he lets get into his body. Some of that though I think is just him going over the middle and working to protect himself just a bit

Sidney Jones of @UW_Football has allowed only 20 receiving yards on 100 coverage snaps, good for the best yards/coverage snap of Pac 12 CBs.
