Don't matter how improved the " talent " on the O line is and having a nice stable of rbs is, if Denver doesn't get better play out of the qb position.Defences will continue to stack the box and limit the success of the running game. Not sure if any of you noticed what a stud O line in Dallas did running the football with Romo in and how much it disappeared when he went out. Sanchez or whoever is qbing Denver this year better earn the respect of opposing D's with his throwing ability or you can kiss a dominant run game goodbye no matter who's in there.

Which is why I suspect the Broncos first play from scrimmage this year is going to be a bootleg and then an over the top to Sanders or a sideline route about 20-25 yards out to DT. Write that down and remember where you heard it first!

Everything goes together. Every position matters to make the other better.

Well, we did have a great rushing attack with Tebow chucking his bounce passes around. So there is always that hope.

I mean he has some strength, played better down the stretch, and wouldn't have to worry about speed rushers getting around him. I'm just happy to have options and depth at this point. Lots of youth on the oline that we can mold and develop.

Yeah nice to have some depth. I think Garcia will have a nifty year with some experience under his belt, and we both love McGovern so there is always him down the line too.

Schofield better have a good offseason because he is a snap of a finger away from being done after camp.

Our offensive line now has some good pieces to work with, Denver just needs to find the best fit. If Garcia improves his pass protection, he should start at right guard.

One other intriguing possibility inside is Myers. The Bronco staff liked him enough to put him on the roster last year, and he has very good size and quickness.

I always find myself watching offensive line play and this will be an interesting year.

If I were a betting man my guess on the OL would be Okung-McGovern-Paradis-Garcia-Stephenson. I know that is crazy to think a 2nd round pick could be benched but to me he is the one guy that we can plug in to 4 of the starting positions if there is an injury and not have to do a ton of shuffling to make it work. That to me can be a very valuable piece to have to help the OL not miss a beat or at least not take a major leap backwards. Also gives us a lot more power on the inside on those 3rd and short plays to actually hand the ball off and pick up the 1st down. I have hated how often we were too afraid to run on 3rd and short and then watch a pass get batted down.

The depth question is at Tackle - IMO and the Broncos start two with injury histories.

This is why if McGovern is ready to go then I would have him start at Guard and have Sambrailo be our swing tackle. Easier to find depth for the inside positions than the outside positions. Another option is just see who might be available after cut downs or sign a guy like Jake Long who we had interest in last year. Don't need him to be a starter but maybe he is a guy that can come in for a few games if needed.

Agree- If McGovern does end up starting at OG as a rookie which I doubt right away that he will, my guess is that it won't be Garcia's spot he takes.

Agree with others that Garcia will be starting at guard. I think Paradis has the makings of a good center, too.

I'll bring another point to this discussion. With the Bronco's success -everyone in the league is drafting pass rushers and turning them lose.

If that is so - there is no better offensive response to that than rushing the football up the gut.

Honestly I am a bit surprised more teams are not trying to switch to a more run heavy scheme. DL's are getting so much smaller these days to try and stop the passing game so OL's should be able to overpower in the run game. Plus saves your defense from spending as much time on the field.

the NFL has always been a pendulum; the trick is to stay just ahead of the arm.
