Rams offensive line has had 10 different starters with no elite players like Trent Williams who has played most of the year. Of course Stafford has been sacked more than Purdy

Williams is the only Niner OL worth a shit, and he has missed 5 games already, and has been taken out of numerous of the 10 he actually played in (one, he was lost in the opening drive, iirc)

No excuses, granted. But Purdy has no weapons this year. Deebo is playing so bad, good money is on him getting cut this off season. Ayuke was lost for the season after he had a horrible start to the season. CMC has had a grand total of 200 rushing yards this year. Kittle has missed 3 games already (and is still likely an AllPro this year).

The people bashing Purdy are dumb - he’s not the reason the Niners have struggled this year. The Niners have just had a slew of injuries to star players. Purdy has had a solid year overall, especially considering how just about every key player on offense has been hurt at one time or another

He does deserve some criticism, like EVERY player does. His height is an issue. His small hands are an issue. His inability to play in inclimate weather is an issue.

But overall, he is a VERY smart player. Because of his size, he is typically hard to tackle, so he is able to extend plays more than most. He typically sees the field very well and doesn’t often miss open receivers.

Is he the best QB in the league? No. Is he top 5? Probably not. Is he top 10? Abso-fucking-lutely.

Tough to argue for Purdy against Geno Smith this year. If Geno had Purdy's offensive line, his numbers would be otherworldly.
