If we lose this one, the title of the headlines should read, "How to Lose a Game in 10 Days"...

And of course it wasn't enough for the bullpen to just blow it, now they're behind. 3 run lead in the 9th when all the teams ahead of you lost and you blow it to the fucking Brewers. Fuck you Mariners.

We have the Tigers, Yankees and Royals nipping at our heels... Big loss... One at this juncture that could turn out to be costly...

What I don't get - if they weren't planning on pitching Diaz at all today, then why did bring in Cishek in the 6th and have him only get one out? And how many times does Wilhelmsen need to prove that the 9th inning is not his friend? Bullpen was ridiculously misused today.

Aoki lets a flyball drop because he thought Martin was going to catch it, allowing the eventual winning run to advance to scoring position. Ianetta completely misses an opportunity to throw out a runner second who had run too far off the bag on a tag up attempt.

That's a team loss right there. Maybe they needed a dumbassery game and I hope they got it out of their system. Luckily everyone ahead of us lost also so they didn't lose any ground.

Ugly loss. I hope this stings for a while. I hope that Service tears into the bullpen with a bunch of F-bombs. However, This team has a chance. The hitters are doing their jobs. Let's just hope that the bullpen can pull their heads out of their asses.

Just finished watching on my DVR, what the fuck was that!?! My wife and I are still in shock, have no idea how the hell that just happened, what a waste. We have had more than our fair share of these boneheaded losses that it no longer surprises me. Right when you think we have turned a corner this team finds a way to show us that until that last out no lead is safe, even to the fucking Brewers! Jesus!

As ugly as this loss was, at least we didn't lose any ground in the standings to the teams ahead of us. Obviously I'd prefer it if we won when the teams in front of us lose, especially when we're playing a team we're supposed to beat, but if we're gonna lose games, I'd rather those losses came when the teams in front of us all lose too. Let's just hope that they can put what happened late in the game today out of their minds and just continue to win series after series from here on out. If they do that, then I'm positive they can make up the ground they failed to make up today.

Tough one to take. Watching Aoki play defense hurts the eyes sometimes.

Some thoughts....

Tom has proven he isn't mentally capable of closing over the years. I get they are trying to have Cishek get his feet wet but either he or Storen needs to be the backup closer going forward.
Unfortunately OF defense at the corners has been a killer for a while and it bit them at the worst time yesterday. Even tho he's not a great defender, I much prefer Heredia on the roster over Romero.

Yesterday was a missed opportunity to pull even with Baltimore but I still think we will finish ahead of them. However I also think Detroit and Houston are still threats. Should be a fun last 6 weeks hopefully

I agree. The routes he takes on some of these fly balls make my head hurt. I don't know what happened on the home run that just got over the wall, but it looked like he got too close to the wall before realizing he'd have to jump and didn't get any air because of it. Unfortunately, it was easier to justify replacing him on defense when he wasn't hitting, but now that he is hitting we're going to have to suffer through watching him play defense late in games.

Yeah, the non-leap was pretty maddening. The routes he takes to fly balls makes it look like he's hitting the sake in the dugout between innings.
