I would certainly kick Bob Stoops and Les Miles out. I have Snyder above both (and pretty much anyone else)
Hmmmm. Better watch what you say. I had Snyder in my top 5 or 6 I posted. As well as Dantonio.

Have they won a national title? No. They have done more with less than any coaches in the game. Same goes for Patterson at TCU and Pederson before leaving for Washington.

I think many hear confuse a great coach with a great recruiter. I don't think Les Miles is even close to the top 5 coaches. Hell, LSU almost paid him 15 million to go away.

Naw, many, including you, confuse a cupcake schedule with a quality schedule.

It is a reasonable opinion. One could say that Stoops isnt in the top 3 coaches in his own conference and I do not think that is a slap at Bob. (Briles, Patterson, and Snyder). A lot of it goes in how you want to judge coaches.

and Miles is just Miles. Not even LSU fans know how he wins.

Is Charlie Strong a better HC than Stoops?

I would agree with that. Dantonio is amazing. He is arguably the best coach in the Big 10.

No way to say that at this point. He did a great job at Louisville and the results at Texas have not matched that. That book is still being written, but at this time no

I was just joking around. What's the outlook for Longhorn football in '16?

I think its still at least a year away from a good team. Qb is still a big question mark. DL is uninspiring and all the depth consists of true freshmen that havent even made it to school yet. Back 7 is really talented, probably .5-1 year away from being upper echelon. OL is improving, but far from dominant. It is not the train wreck of the past few years though. Still outside the top 3 of the conference. WR has 2 young NFL players (at least it looks that way). RB is a strength. Thinking around 8 wins, but hard to have confidence in any projection with the QB position in doubt

And yet the supposed best coach in the B1G has a combined score of 87-7 against his mentor in two meetings of like teams. Seems like he is still a shade behind his mentor in ability at the coaching level.

38-0 in 2015
49-7 in 2010-11 bowl game

he also achieved more than Saban did with the same resources. Its funny how the school can dictate how successful a coach can be.

I guess if we are using that as a metric than Saban is Stoops's bitch. Probably should add Whittingham and Freeze to that list
