Sure, I'm better. It's reasonable that Saban could get better. But you don't go from scrub to the best coach in CFB in a matter of 10 years.
Why not? It it that hard to believe he hit on a grand plan that was defined and refined over that time to create the perfect game plan for success? Is it hard to believe that a coach can be that good? How long has Harbaugh been a head coach by the way? Isnt it less than 10 years yet Michigan paid everything but the kitchen sink for him. So do you think they saw something in Jim even though he has never really won anything of note?

My guess is now you will find another angle to attack since its apparent that someone can grow at their position pretty rapidy, or Michigan bought a false bill of goods in Harbaugh because there is no way he is that good of a coach only having coached about 6 years total in college as a head coach.

As a neutral observer, it is not merely the proximity to talent that has made Saban so much better at Bama. It's also not all about him getting better as a coach since then. Both played a factor.

Its his eye for talent, not only on the playing field, but in his coaching ranks as well. Its talent on his recruiter rosters(coaching wise) that has gotten him where he is and that is part of his process. He is in a talent rich area no doubt, but he knows talent both on the field and in his peers as well and that is why he is the best coach in football right now.

Grand plan :laugh3: harbs is about to hit the wall. You had to have seen this collapse coming after the P4 called him out. Harbaugh couldn't handle being busted and slapped on the wrist :laugh3:

His next move is to pull a Kiffin and dare the NCAA to do anything to him.

For sure his staff has a lot to do with it. He's able to get that staff in part due to the level of access to recruits. Coaches think about that when taking a job. Put Saban somewhere else and he would be a good coach. He wouldn't do close to what he's done at Alabama, though.

You mean the coach who has refined his "process" over the years and is now at a top flight school where recruits naturally want to go. Unlike his days at bridesmaid university in Michigan.
His first FBS job was Stanford which he took from 1-11 to 12-1. The first QB he recruited was the #1 pick in the NFL draft.

What Dantonio has done at MSU is impressive. What Saban did at MSU is nothing special at all.

Pics of "harbaughs" success or GTFO. USC is on the rise with a leader who has A proven track record. One who excelled at every level he has competed in or held. Through his collegiate career and well as his pro career. $ super bowl rings and A super bowl MVP.He was an announcer for pro football. He was The chairman of Presidents council of sports and physical fitness and served as a director on the boards of the Heinz co. and Hershey Entertainment and Wyndham Resorts International. A proven winner. SC does not need to abuse rules or utilize gimmicks like creepy sleep overs. They obtain recruits on reputation and success. We have A proven winner not an extra from saved by the bell. A true program We are SC

Now lets see Harbaughs successes?
:pound::pound::pound::pound:

Priceless. Yeah - his vast knowledge of football is really going to help him in a position where it means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

USC is a train wreck right now and you want to talk about the 1970 steelers. :pound:

Ding, Ding, Ding. Why do you think he hasn't left the SEC and went back to the pinnacle of his coaching profession? Because without the built in advantages the SEC provides, he is just another good. In the SEC, he is a great coach.

You are correct there is a train wreck in progress. But that train is blue and has A big yellow M on it :laugh3:

Suck harder, you didnt get it all from the bottom. Life time achievement is worth noting. How about we let them play out and match accomplishments at the end. My guess is neither Harbaugh nor Dantonio match Saban ever.

And yet Harbaugh held 0 satellite camps while at Stanford or San Diego. But surely this is for the kids. I would hate to think harbaugh would abuse A loop hole to try to cheat the system or lie

He didn't abuse anything. He followed the rules to the letter and the University even paid for a compliance officer to go on the satellite tours to make sure no rules were broken.

I don't think lifetime achievements is something Saban wants to get into, at least not with Harbaugh.
I'm thinking coaching achievements are what you are looking for, unless you are bragging about the one year he was a DB at Kent State?

Sure nothing was abused and that had nothing to do with the loop hole being shut down :laugh3:

On A serious note where do you get you :doobs: ?

What about what Saban has done @ LSU & Bama? Oh yeah in your odd world that somehow doesn't count because it's the loaded SEC. Also as of right now Dantonio has accomplished more on the CFB level than Jimmy Jam has. That's another fact you'll ignore.

I've said Dantonio is one of the top 5 coaches in the NCAA. If you are talking coaching up players and getting more out of less -- you could make arguments there is no one better.

He isn't getting 5 star recruits or #1 recruiting classes but he continues to take under the radar recruits and turn them into tremendous players
