at least when the Cavs did their rebuild they had Kyrie, Love, etc. to show for it and became instant contenders

you guys had 3 #2 overall picks and didnt get one big time player out of it. That is a massive failure and if/when you do not win a title during the LeBron era that will be why.

So...

Korver and Hill had a combined about 4-5M guaranteed for next year.

The Cavs have taken back Burks who is expiring, Henson who is due 8.7 and Delly who is due 9.7 next year.

So, as I said on the other thread, they have 3 2nd rounders and a 1st rounder for taking back an aggregate 14M dollars in salary, have Burks on an expiring, and have Delly and Henson on deals that only go through next year- each of which might be interesting expiring/ancillary pieces to be dealt next year.

They still have JR's contract, Burks' expiring, and Hood's very cheap expiring contract to deal and acquire more picks.

Plus getting rid of Hill and Korver definitely help guarantee that they will get a top 3 lotto slot and have as good a chance as possible for Zion, Barret or Reddish.

Right - the Lakers have LeBron James and 16 trophies at Staples Center - The Cav's have one title and Kevin Love who you believe is a super star

Just a footnote or two, but um

The Cavaliers got Irving, but how did that work out? He is gone and so is Lebron

and oh, by the way

The Cavaliers are 5 - 20 and second to last place in a weak conference - and the Lakers are 15-9 and in 5th seed. Lakers are pretty good position for a team you losers(@WiggyRuss and @lebron23james) have been making fun and slamming. You shouldn't throw rocks when you live in a glass house:lol:

If it will make the Cavalier fans feel better, however I promise to stop complaining when I see LeBron get away with traveling:lol:

And here I thought Love was drafted by the T-Wolves.

well part of having draft picks is to know when to use them, and when to trade them

like the Lakers being able to acquire PG for either the #2 overall pick or Ingram.

When the Cavs had the opp. to either keep a young guy, or make a deal to trade for in--their-prime but still very young multil time all star they jumped on it. When the Lakers had the opportunity- they decided to keep the #2 pick that became Ball, and decided to keep Ingram- either of which would have brought them George.

As usual, you are forgetting some very key facts.

First, Hill and Korver were not really factors for Cleveland. Korver is a specialist good for 15-20 minutes a night and Hill is nothing more than a mediocre veteran role player. Henson and Delly aren't good, but they aren't noticeable downgrades for a bad team either. This move was all about shedding future contracts for players who had fallen out of Milwaukee's rotation. Delly and Henson will be rotation players for Cleveland and will likely have similar impact as the two departed vets.

Also, I thought Kevin Love was one of the best players in the East? If that were true, his eventual return along with Sexton's growth would defintely propel Cleveland past teams like Chicago, New York and maybe Brooklyn too.

Unless perhaps you were exaggerating Love's impact or his value based on his inability to stay healthy.

Being forced by Lebron to trade Wiggins for Love isn't part of a "rebuild".

The Lakers made the right choice not giving up assets for a guy they could have gotten in FA. PG not being smart to understand that is why he won't be winning any rings.

LOL

it DEF takes more than 1, or even 2 guys

Wall is better than Love, and Beal is by far better than anyone else on the Cavs, and that has not stopped the Wizards from being a flaming pile of dog poo.

We aren't talking about the Wizards. The Wizards are a bad joke. But they will still probably end up making the playoffs because they are too stupid to trade Wall while they still can and the bottom of the East is awful.

But, I also think the Cavs don't suck enough to hit bottom 3 like you said unless they hold Love out of most games. They will win 25+.

If Love if still on the team when the season hits the turn, the Cavs are almost certainly going to start winning games as teams out of the playoff picture go full tankapalooza.

Hard to see them being behind the Knicks, Bulls, Suns or Hawks by year's end. And I suspect the Nets will be gleefully tanking for their first lottery pick since the Lincoln administration.
