I'm ready to see Alex Wood tonight. He pitched well last year but in a lot of his games he couldn't get any run support. I like Teheran but I feel Alex is our future number 1 shutdown ace with Teheran being s strong number 2.

Great Marlins debut for Matt Latos.

The two outs he record were a sharp line drive to left by Jace Peterson and a sac bunt by Alex Wood.

We've batted around a few times last couple of seasons, but I don't remember the last time we sent 12 men to the plate in one inning, much less the first inning.

This is the first time the Braves have scored 7 runs in one inning since they did it in the first inning at Colorado on June 10, 2014 (they sent 10 men to the plate in that inning).

I'm excited about this team, lots of unknowns. We may not do anything particularly special but we finally got a team full of real ballplayers that have a ton to prove. Should be a fun season regardless of the final record.
